I’m usually more of a cock-up and cover-up man than a conspiracy theorist but when it comes to the North Wales child abuse scandal it’s starting to look like it might be a case of all three.
Well, anyway, here are the facts so you can make up your own mind.
Police have just confirmed what we knew all along – that between 1963 and 1992 more than 140 people have said they were physically and sexually abused in children’s care homes across north Wales.
We already know that some very senior establishment figures have been accused of being responsible for the abuse – including Lord Mcalpine’s cousin Jimmie McAlpine who was living in North Wales at the time.
We also know that police had actual photographic evidence of men abusing children and that it was North Wales Police who wrongly identified Lord Mcalpine in one of the photographs to Steven Messham as his alleged abuser instead of McAlpine’s cousin Jimmie.
We know too that those same photographs were for some really strange reason officially ordered to be destroyed – even though they were crucial evidence.
It’s also an interesting fact that Lord McAlpine once wrote a book called ‘The New Machiavelli‘ – in which he gave this advice about how to deal with the media:
Spread false defeat to gain public sympathy; or false accusation and then arrange for it to be exposed as such – so the accuser will forever be treated with suspicion.
Even more interesting than that is the fact that the present Home Secretary Theresa May prevented a US journalist from visiting the UK in order to independently investigate allegations of a high level cover-up of child abuse by members of the establishment.
And last but not least – Lord McAlpine has already got much much more money in compensation (without even going to court) than the actual child victims who have got next to nothing even in those cases where abuse has been proven.
OK – so those are the facts.
Now you make up your own mind.

@TOM outlaw is already running a poll on CSA..eg do you believe there is a conspiracy over CSA
1 YES
2 NO
etc etc…
thing is tom..waterhouse enquiry why so many names deliberatley left off the list?
second waterhouse im pretty sure is/was freemason (dont start with me being conspiracy nut) i have reasons for this..
the waterhouse enquiry remit was too narrow. didnt include ”offsite’ abusers..why was that?
maccca collects strange art re ovendum stuff who was nicked himself recently..
peter morrisin named in connection with north wales abuse..and identified..
also on council docs stacks of lists including CHE and type of abuse in one case
‘black magic’..
under professions of abusers were ‘police officers’ ”army personell’ so either it was normal to have army and police officers on site or……these were offsite abusers….
only staff were nicked..

You wrote about the [banned from the UK] US journalist Leah McGrath Goodman on 7 November 2012. I find Theresa May’s action on this sinister.
On her blog Miss Goodman says she now has a valid visa to visit
Jersey where there was a lot of dubious care home skulduggery.
I do not know why the North Wales police would mis-identify Jimmy Mc
Alpine [since it was he].
If I write anything about Alastair McAlpine I shall be seriously out of pocket,
in short order.

Re Ovendum :: For the record, the convicted guy’s name is 70-year-old Graham Ovenden, from Cornwall. One of his naked sculptures adorns the facade of BBC Broadcasting House, W1.

Quite unbelievable. The truth will come out soon. The momentum and desire by the right thinking majority is too strong now and seems unstoppable. It will be interesting to see what the offenders do to escape laibility.

What staggers me is that the poll currently has over 50% of respondents saying it is none of cock-up, cover-up, or conspiracy.
Either you Poms are far too trusting of your authorities — or, maybe, Oliver has organised all his mates on the basis that this is another of Pride’s ‘beat-ups’!

I think we’re just desperate to be able to vote “none of the above” on our ballots and thus when we have the chance we jump at it.
I am deeply saddened by the idea of these “child sex farms” and I truly believe that many ministers, officials, celebrities and media personalities would not be the men they are today without them.

I think you are confused about the photos. For a start off their existence was only claimed, never confirmed. Secondly if they did exist, they were not the photos supposedly used to identify Macalpine.

Mr Pride, I would agree that this story smacks of “all three” I would like the papers to stop using this story to bury other news though. I think we should let justice be done (swiftly and harshly)

Former Conservative Councillor Malcolm Johnson who is co-ordinator of the Association Of Child Abuse Lawyers disgusted viewers on Newsnight last year when he objected to any further inquiry into the abuse. His old firm folded up after he had to pay out compensation for the distress caused by his service in respect of child abuse litigation but he has managed to get employed at Blake Lapthorn Solicitors. Why did this ex Tory Councillor not want this sickening abuse investigated?
