Boris Johnson and his Tory Government have given away over £70 billion in tax cuts to a few wealthy individuals and big businesses since they’ve been in power.
Meanwhile meet Kori. A beautiful little boy, he had a heart transplant in 2018 but unfortunately his body is rejecting the new heart and he is now fighting for his life:
But the DWP – under instructions from Boris Johnson and his cruel Tory government – have decided Kori is as fit as any other boy of his age and have stripped him of his Disability Living Allowance and his family’s Motability vehicle:
I guess the Tories have to make savings somewhere for their massive giveaways to their wealthy mates.

It appears to me that politicians have forgotten why they were elected – and that is to do their utmost to better the well-being of both the Country and the People, especially the sick and the poor. But it seems that they look upon their position in Parliament as a means of greater wealth for themselves and the needs of the People are of no consequence. Their corruption must be stopped and if appropriate, prosecutions made.

What a croc!! There’s clearly more to this story, DLA and PIP aren’t the easiest of processes, we’re fully aware of this with a son with complex and multiple disabilities both physical and learning, but to just make this statement is ridiculous. Interesting link provided by “Gibbo” too that seems to tell a very different tale! Electioneering per chance?!? Hypocrisy at it’s best😡

Shameful and disgusting. And very criminal. The Nasty Party should get what they deserve at the next election, defeat.
So obvious what’s needed is change, optimism, improvements. People shouldn’t waste their vote.

For all the cynics out there like Julian Maxwell and Gibbo, there is more to this story and it only takes 5 minutes to find up to date info.
The article gibbo links to is old (from earlier in the summer) and was correct at the time. Kori had his DLA stopped on October 23rd and is currently in hospital suffering from possible tissue rejection.

I know this to be true because we have lived through a similar experience on more than one occasion.
If you are the unpaid carer for your loved one your money is stopped when theirs is.
They assume because they are in hospital, that the hospital assumes responsibility for looking after their day to day needs as part of their “duty of care”
It is completely out of line with the reality of what goes on with a person with such a high level of need falls poorly. And if you ever looked after such a person yourself (or anybody for that matter) you would surely understand this.
But this is false and only applicable if you are fortunate in the postcode lottery and even then you have to convince them, a person who will come to harm if left alone (and cannot do anything for themselves, is at constant risk) needs that level of assistance.
In reality what happens is the family member practically kills themselves putting in hours which would be national scandal if it took place in a place of work, potentially becoming unwell themselves – this is usually the point the hospital might actually say “oh, we probably need to look at this”, again if you are lucky.. is not always the case
I respect peoples right to an opinion but trying to smear a family just because it does not tie in with their political views is a low blow. this family is legit and you should at least look into how organ replacement/rejection and complications work (it can occur over a prolonged period) before jumping on high horse to criticize them
This family should be able to focus on their child, not be looking over their shoulder because of financial problems, not to mention the potential months it can take to sort stuff out with DWP who operate under “guilty till innocent”
