(satire – probably)
The largely symbolic business secretary Vince Cable, has dismissed his opinion about the loss of Britain’s triple-A credit rating as being “largely symbolic”, saying his thoughts about it are not very important and not really worth taking much notice of.
Mr Cable told the Andrew Marr Show there was “no reason why my thoughts about the downgrade should have any impact” as he pointed out that nobody really gives much of a shit what he has to say about that “or anything else really”.
Mr Cable’s comments come not longer after the planning and transportation committee of the City of London Corporation announced it had decided to start legal action to evict Mr Cable from his occupation of the moral high ground in the government due to the “nuisance and annoyance he causes every time he opens his mouth”.

Difficult to know where Vincent cable is at. He did support twickenham film studios when threatened with closure but then again he is MP for there

No mystery for me. Like most Lib Dems, VC is trying to pretend he’s oh so against the nasty Tories while at the same time supporting the Tory’s worst policies.
When I was a kid, it was known as ‘trying to have your cake and eat it’.

I admit to being an admirer of Cable at one time, before he seized Cameron’s thirty pieces of silver but now he reminds of an annoying and rather bumbling house guest who one cannot wait to be rid of.
He says the downgrade is ‘largely symbolic’ despite the dire warnings from Gidiot, Danny ‘Beaker’ Alexander and Cable himself that the heavens would fall and the world would cease turning. If that is the case why the need to continue the economic pain when it is patently obvious it is driving the UK economy into the ground, not to mention the misery it is causing to untold numbers of individuals and families?
The only point I would make in Cable’s favour is that on this issue he is correct. I believe if you asked most economists they would admit the rating agencies know diddly-squat and their ratings are about as reliable as the prophecies of Nostradamus.
We will continue on the road Gidiot has set out on because the insufferable fool is so damn arrogant he cannot bear to admit he is wrong. The only hope is that Cameron will put his own vain ambition to win the next election over any loyalty to this fool of a Chancellor and sack him.

What else does he consider ‘largely symbolic’? Pushing more children into poverty? Free labour for multinationals? Bedroom Tax?

I suspect Wince Cable has a greater grasp of economics than osborn could ever have. But the same could be said about a cauliflower.
Nonetheless, take the politician out of Cable and you have an intelligent person, I feel. Whilst he has to play politics, he has to spout stupid inane twaddle.

Lovely ballroom dancer and right-on about racism, Vince Cable is a disgrace to the Cambridge Economics Faculty where they must have taught him Keynes and how to get out of a depression (which is what we’ve got), yet he keeps voting for cuts.
Do the red boxes, ministerial cars, and all the trappings of office really make it worth selling your country down the river, Vince?
