In December last year, UKIP expelled one of their councillors after she made such racist comments to the BBC that they were called “jaw-dropping”.
At the time, nobody would reveal what Cllr Rozanne Duncan actually said that was so “jaw-dropping”.
Well, now we know. And yep, they’re pretty jaw-droppingly racist:
Duncan, UKIP councillor for the Cliftonville East ward of Thanet District Council: “I don’t know why but I don’t like negroes or anyone with negro features.”
Mind you, also worth mentioning is the fact that Duncan was a member and an activist of the Conservative Party for over 20 years before she resigned from the Tories and joined UKIP.
At least UKIP threw her out ………………..

Of course, if she said she liked them, but still used 1950s language, people would be moaning about the words she used.
Just goes to show, nobody actually cares what people think, just that they use the approved words, or they are out of the gang! 😉

The point is that he said i dont like negroes or those with negro features , this would have been just as bad had he said Afro caribeans orAfricans etc its not the language its the saying they dont like a whole race of people .Its about as prejudiced as its possible to be .

If she is an ex tory I think it may be poor people in general she doesn’t like the look of…a fuckwit who wants to be an MP as well by jove.
I always wondered what inspired folk to become ruling arse holes and now I know, ..bigotry drives em.

I think people here are missing the point. It’s not the words used that the UKIP took issue with, it’s the fact that she doesn’t know why. Members of UKIP are required to know exactly why they don’t like negroes or anyone with negro features.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Let me introduce you to Frozen Peach Defenders. Someone who wants the freedom to say what vomit comes out of their mouth without facing the consequences of their actions. They feel “entitled” to an audience, while if you even midly criticise them (or just ignore them), you are censoring their freeze peaches.

When someone says something like I don’t like ………(choose your pick)…… or anyone with ……….(same)……… features. It is because they wish to express to the world the fact that they are of extremely low intelligence. Judging people by their facial features is just as silly as judging them by the shape of their ears or nipples. If I was to say “I don’t like Rozanne Duncan because she looks like Mr potato head in drag (complete with a wig from the joke shop) I would be proving that I was making judgements based on completely the wrong things.

I don’t like her because she’s spreading divisive prejudices that have caused a lot of trouble in the past, now that is a proper reason not to like someone.

Rozanne Duncan here shows the astonishing racism, which finally led to her being thrown out of UKIP. However, as Mr Pride says, she was in the Tories for 20 years, who definitely didn’t expel her. This says as much about the Tories as it does about UKIP.
Cameron has very ostentatiously tried to clean up the Tories’ image of containing more than its fair share of racist loons. He got rid of various members because of the scandal they caused when their links to the BNP were revealed. He also broke the party’s links with the Monday Club.
However, the racist bigots and loons are still in the party, if somewhat quieter. But 30 years ago, they were worse. Much worse. This was when there were indeed very loud and vociferous supporters of the far right. I was told by a friend in Cheltenham that the Tory party there was split after one of its members said that it should support the racial nationalism of the BNP and National Front as its official policy. It seems most of the loons never really left the party. They’ve just gone underground, until some of them left to join the Kippers.

She is very clearly racist and I cannot believe anyone would say such a thing.
To say you dislike people based on their features? Does the soul of a person not enter this small minded woman’s head?
There is beauty in every race, colour, size and shape of a human’s body.
This woman clearly isn’t capable of representing the Public in any way shape nor form. I’m actually glad her words reached the powers, that could shock enough, for the kippers to have no other alternative but to sack her!

Given that she was expressing these views at the home of her friend, the Ukip press/media officer, and in front of a camera crew. I’m intrigued as to why the press/media officer let her carry on with that line off conversation. She must have known where it was going when she started the rant, so why didn’t she interrupt? contradict her, or bundle her into the kitchen? Did they want her out anyway?
