Scientists have grown a miniature “human brain” the size of a pea, in a feat they hope will transform the study of neurological disorders such as those commonly found affecting UKIP, BNP and EDL members.
The researches say the structures have reached the same level of development as that of a nine-week-old foetus and are incapable of thought – making them ideal for studying the thought processes of UKIP supporters.
The team from the Austrian Academy of Sciences have already used the technique to study certain developmental curiosities such as Nigel Farage, and say they hope to be able to use it to research and find a cure for more serious disorders such as Michael Gove and Iain Duncan Smith.
The news comes just weeks after scientists claimed they had succeeded in growing embryonic balls and backbones on Liberal Democrats in a laboratory

Well you know what they say: Two heads are better than one … especially if grown on the same person 🙂

Could these great scientists determine the origins of the fascist military dictatorship effecting the people of Thailand? We believe they have the Neandathal brain which we all thought died out many thousands of years ago.

Another piece of acute satire from Tom. The story on which it’s based, though, does give some pause for thought. Although the brains grown are very primitive at this stage, it does raise the issue of the potential to create for real one of the fictional human species Olaf Stapledon described in his pioneering SF novel, Last and First Men. This ‘mad book’ was a future history of all nine species of humanity, from their origins on Earth, to their colonisation of the other planets of the solar system. One of the species – the 3rd men – had abandoned their natural human bodies completely, and become simply vast living brains operating in laboratories established around the world, and within its oceans, where they pursued their goal of conducting scientific research.
This passage may partly reflect one of the bizarre ideas of J.D. Bernal in his The World, The Flesh and the Devil, which speculated on the nature of future extraterrestrial life. Bernal considered that the current human body was very inefficient, and would have to be eventually replaced altogether, with future humans simply existing as brains housed in nutrient baths. This experiment brings that possibility a step closer, though it’s still a very, very long way off.

Conservatives have been brain dead for years particularly George Osbourne whose economic plan assumes unlimited growth is possible and we have four planets. The economy has been secretly run by algorithms written by Hedge Funders and applied to a Klix Pak coffee machine located in Hounslow for years. If the Tories get in again, one will be able to claim Universal Credit through one’s Smart Toaster. This is, of course, the Brain Child of Ian Druncan Smith. Tories are, of course, TOAST!

This piece is hilarious, but people growing human brains in test tubes can easily eventually lead to monstrous uses of artificially grown human brains as superior computing technology.
Just as with the various evils caused by insufficient animal welfare regulations the human race had better be careful that we don’t eventually let industry created rightless and abused human-like intelligences from human genetic material and call it “technology”.
Today this idea is still in the realm of sci-fi. Tomorrow it probably won’t and industry to be fair is essentially completely amoral. They will do anything economically profitable if they can get away with it (if you don’t believe this then type in “Ikea forced slave labour” or “IG Farben concentration camp”)

I believe the one they grew that was the size of an ants brain turned out to be far left extremist. The idea of growing brain tissue is as a possible treatment for conditions such as dementia or post stroke or even traumatic brain injuries, but of course the loony left always try to produce crap like this post. BTW you do realise that UKIP is still the only party that has it in its constitution that past members of the edl and bhp cannot join the party don’t you, unlike labour libdum green and tory who all accept them.
