(not satire – it’s the Tories!)
Controversial hardline Tory Minister for the Disabled Esther McVey is set to lose her seat at the General Election.
In McVey’s Wirral West constituency, Labour are on 42% in the latest polls with the Conservatives on 37%:
It is McVey’s policies which have been responsible for forcing the disabled – as well as seriously sick people such as cancer patients – into extreme poverty and hunger:
UK today: 40% of cancer patients can’t afford to heat their home properly
A new low for the UK: disabled man starves to death
Dying of cancer? Work or starve: the end of the welfare state
Iain Duncan Smith’s portrait made from photos of people who died for being poor
Cameron’s Britain: 7-year old cancer patients on foodbank handouts
Bedroom tax exemptions? Not for injured soldiers, disabled children or adults with carers
.
I’m normally more of a beer or whisky man, but if McVey gets turfed out by voters in 7 weeks time, I will personally drink a glass or two of champagne in celebration.

This is fantastic news if it happens – a “McVile” Moment might even rival the much speculated about Clegg Moment!

A great possibility (in both senses) – a “McVile” Moment might match the Portillo Moment of 1997!

I suppose Wirral West is the swanky ‘nob’s row’ end of Liverpool; otherwise I’m surprised the Labour poll hasn’t reached 75% or more.

McVeys recorded donations include money from a company whose parent company (through Everyday Loans) targets poor people on benefits and those with poor credit rating. Fits nicely with sanctions on benefit claimants.

Unfortunately I hate to b the one to dampen the high spirits but this evil monster will no doubt walk straight into maximus / other corporation she and crony IDS have given a lot of money to.
Crime and evilness do indeed prosper in the modern world.

I have a nice bottle of port laid down. myself. I would be so happy to toast this… creature’s… comeuppance. In the absence of a richly-deserved trial for crimes against humanity, she should mop floors or stack shelves for a pittance, (sanctioned) and be grateful she’s not doing it while fainting and puking from chemotherapy, on DWP mandatory work “placement”.

Maybe but is certainly fair given the tories draconian welfare policy stance indeed you could say her and other dwp ministers brought it all on themselves.

Let’s hope this is right. If it is, there’ll be celebrations up and down Britain, and as several of the commenters say, it’ll be like the moment Portillo lost his seat in the 1997 general election.
Unfortunately, one of the other commenters is also right in that she’ll probably run straight into a job with Atos, Maximus, or one of the other welfare-to-work slavers. Perhaps we should set up a petition asking for her to be made unemployed for a year, so she could get a good taste of the degradation she doled out to others. Is this nasty, low, vicious and spiteful? Yes, but so is she.

Labour by itself or even with SNP will get insufficient to rule.
The Tories are planning, even if they lose MP seats, to sit in a caretaker government.
Why?
Because the prediction is of the most severe hung parliament ever, with a Tory minority government, that did not get voted into government.
Wirral West only has the usual parties running.
So does Wirral South.
But elsewhere in England, there are a huge number of marginal seats with new parties that could utterly change Labour in a group of parties reaching the threshold of 323 MPs to form a majority government.
For example,
Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC)
are running over 122 MP candidates and rising
that are anti austerity and would help all the poor, of all ages, able bodied or disabled and/or chornic sick.
Class War
double dole and pension
Mebyon Kernow of Cornwall
With sitting Tory and Lib Dem MPs with the most slim majorities
and MK running in all voting areas of Cornwall.
So the Tories will win, if the small left wing parties are not in the group of partners alongside Labour.
Because Labour will not end sanctions, workfare, universal credit, spending cuts, without those parties having MPs in Westminster.
