After the Tory government took away her car and slashed her sickness benefits by half, a gran with terminal cancer has turned her back on the party she has supported all of her life.
Lifelong Tory activist Susan Whitby was shocked to discover the Tories have decided only people with less than 6 months to live are eligible for higher rates of support – and mobility support to help sick and disabled people get around has been slashed.
Full story:
Terminally ill Sidmouth gran’s disability allowance slashed by more than half
Maybe if the mainstream press started to report the whole truth, even Tory supporters would start to turn against their party?

I have come to the same conclusion, a lifelong Tory voter I will no longer vote for them because of the way they have demonised the disabled and benefit claimants and still claim massive amounts of expenses for themselves.

Those who are middle class mainly vote Tory, however, they are now seeing that they too are seen as beneath Cameron and Co. Many rich people are now realising that voting Tory is not getting them the same “respect” as the elite.
People are realising that there is rich and there is super-rich and that anyone beneath the super-rich is fair game!

Unfortunately it’s only when a Tory voter finds that something is directly detrimental to themselves that they have this epiphany moment. Just illustrates even more how selfish they are. If someone had told this lady of this and she had not been ill herself I can bet you she wouldn’t have given a toss.

I have found from experience that even if you confront a lifelong Tory with stories such as these they refuse to believe them and the response is “Oh that can’t be right, there must be more to it, you must have got it wrong etc.” etc, etc.

I wonder who she voted for in the General Election, this could be self inflicted. First they came for the Gypsies, I wasn’t a Gypsy so I did nothing etc.
