Many of the MPs on the parliamentary committee that fiddled the amount that fiddling MP Maria Miller was asked to pay back in fiddled expenses have also been revealed to be on the fiddle.
The fiddling MPs on the standards committee are facing accusations of fiddling after they fiddled the amount the fiddling culture secretary had to pay back for fiddling mortgage payments on her fiddled “second” home – payments which it has been revealed were fiddled.
However, observers say the fiddling of the fiddling by the fiddling MPs on the fiddle could lead to accusations that fiddling MPs are fiddling while Rome burns.

MPs really do live inside a bubble don’t they? They take away pensions from councillors whilst increasing their own. They limit public sector pay whilst increasing their own. They attack immigration unless it involves their own nannies. They go after benefit cheats whilst protecting one of their own. The list goes on…

since 2010 I have had my blue badge taken off me because i’ve been told i am no longer eligible – i have mobility difficulties which are now imposing a greater stress on me than necessary as access to events, buildings etc is now more difficult if at all
i migrated from Ib to esa and am now nearly £500 a year worse off because my very small pension is now taxed as esa is a taxable benefit.
so not only do i not go out much other than accessible shopping trips but i have much less money to spend- things will have to go, basics as i don’t have much
in the meantime the scum that are mps and this one in particular, who you may remember, as a disability minister with grayling is arrogantly parading in front of us all as a paragon of virtue. i hate these bastards and just wish we could do something to get rid of them – my tory mp is not interested in my position despite him knowing what has happened to me and knowing i am in the support group – he offers nothing other than shit tory ideology

Q: How do you solve a problem minister like Maria?? — Answer: Stand up at the despatch box and say what she did was only a trifling matter,probably just a mistake in her paperwork and she should only pay back peanuts and isn’t it time everybody moved on??
Q: If a govt minister is caught fiddling on their second home, could they be termed to be ‘playing second fiddle’.. ?? :)-

There have been cries of collusion, in the wake of the MP’s Expenses Scandals, and “MP’s policing MP’s” — which sounds like it could engender collusion, if those MP’s in question are not scrupulously honest — which evidently a lot of them are not……
For the record, Bertie, The Commons Select Committee on Standards members were appointed on 13 Dec, 2012.
There are 13 members on this Committee, 10 of which are serving MP’s, and 3 of which are lay members from other walks of life.
Of those 10 MP’s, 5 are Conservative, 4 are Labour and 1 is a Liberal Democrat:

Maria Miller, Conservative MP for Basingstoke, this morning (9 April 2014) tendered her resignation as David Cameron’s Culture [of bullying and dissimulating??] Secretary, saying that “the media furore is now distracting me from doing my job…” (guffaws and hoots on the Labour benches!!)……. This surely makes the PM look weak and lacking backbone for not sacking her on the spot the moment the story broke……
