Very good. One of the funniest people I have known and worked with was a Lebanese secular socialist now teaching at a London university. I don’t, however, think he meant that to be a joke/satirical dig; rather — a ‘means-to-an-end’. The job opportunities for a political satirist/stand-up comic in Lebanon are … erm … a little limited. Journalism was an option and that’s how I got to know him.

Yes … me and my mate were saying that the idea of a caliphate being set up in some UK inner city was rather ‘Citizen Smith’ like and that the ones who go to Syria etc. probably go because their mates here are sick off hearing them banging on about politics and being oppressed. There are too many normal British Muslims for it to become any more of a problem than the odd random idiot (in the Greek sense of the word) slipping through the net and doing something really stupid in the belief that they are doing the highest good, a phenomenon that is not confined to those who follow tghe Muslim faith … ‘Rubber dinghy rapids bruvva!’

Sadly, it all looks like black-ops disinformation to me. History shows lots of examples of fake videos, publicity, posters and even books, all done by one side to discredit the other side.
Without more evidence I have no faith in the veracity of your links Tom.. Sorry. I’d like it all to be true but I have decades of cynicism and proof that we have been manipulated from all sides.

These black-clad, black-humoured ISIS pirate-like dudes should really be doing TV adverts for Humvees and Howitzers… I am pleased to hear however that ordinary Muslims see through them and are taking the p**out of them…. Meanwhile, in a statement released yesterday, Paul McCartney says that to the best of his knowledge Jihad John is not John Lennon resurrected, and Jihad John has never been a member of the Fab 4….. Meanwhile, Special Branch say they have managed to identify the dude known as Jihad Johnny….. It turns out that he is a 29 year-old British stand-up comedian from Barking who has the same agent as Al Murray and is carving out a second career for himself as a human bacon slicer…. His agent says he has real talent to knock his audiences dead and will be starring very soon in a TV sequel to TOWIE called: THE ONLY WAY IS ISIS…….. [~You couldn’t make it up :)~ ]

Pennie: It is important to know who the REAL terrorists are, but there is so much DIS-info out there in medialand now that it’s getting dazzling and confusing to know who is what…… However, most sceptic folk can tell that the Steven Sotloff video is as fake as they come!… I would encourage you to be a bit sceptical and do your own investigative research but from what I can gather, the Sotloff video and the James Foley ‘beheading’ videos were made by Site Intel, a psy-op propaganda group led by rabid Zionist and Muslim-hater Rita Katz, an Israeli Intelligence agent who has served in the Israeli Defence Force (IDF)….. Her work has been dubbed ‘Bin Laden Studios in Israel’ because for years the same people made fake video after fake video purporting to be ‘message releases’ by Arab Sheikh Muslim Osama Bin Laden when the real Bin Laden, a CIA-Mujahideen agent and fighter, died in 2001.
So– Who is fooling Who?? ..Meanwhile… “Excuse me President Obama, Sir, Have you devised any plan yet to deal with these wicked ISIS dudes who are running amok over all the Middle East???….” … “Well huh, yeah, we’re looking at all options, ya’ know, but I’m beheading off to this wonderful Golf Course awhile till things cool down a slice…”
