Harry Phibbs is a journalist who writes for the the influential Tory grassroots website Conservative Home, as well as for the Daily Mail.
In 2014, Phibbs wrote a bizarre article in which he proposed abolishing the Health and Safety Executive:
But Phibbs also happens to be a councillor in Hammersmith and Fulham, right next to the area where the Grenfell Tower tragedy took place.
And remarkably, Phibbs is Tory housing spokesman for the London borough:
This may give us some insight into the mindset of his fellow Tory councillors in the neighboring borough of Kensington, who allowed one of their tower blocks with hundreds of families living in it to be clad in flammable panels with no water sprinklers or emergency exits to protect them.

All of this anti Tory political gain made from this tragedy is only right and proper if the Labour MP’s intend to work to address this intolerable situation which the Tories have engineered with their irresponsible policies. That means, in other words, a total commitment by Labour to undo the damage wrought by said polices by trying to get the decisions made that led to this unnecessary loss of life reversed. Please quote any source offering to retrospectively right this wrong.

I would say a total commitment from every decision maker in westminister or local council regardless . Some health and saftey ‘departments’ are full of red tape to create an anything they say dictatorship without a clue or input from the experts of a field . Blairs gov was bad for creating non jobs for statistics plus many many obvious manipulations . Thatchers was vile for creating a private owned government for profit and this gov is the worst Britain has ever had for calling for class wars as an agenda .
My thoughts are people are the decision makers that allow decisions to be made by aganda seekers and looking at comments in social media proves just how split up on everything this country is. The next Gov has to make it obvious its full of experts and humans and if that turns out to be a waste of time and still the country argues about blame of, instead of actions to make sure doesn’t ,then we should try a Monarcy again imo.
Money is not value,Status is not value ,People are value the rest is object ,so we are all losing so much wealth and value to agendas its a real shitty piss pot.

If the inflammable panels were on the building’s exterior, what good would sprinklers have done?

Sprinklers can be fitted on outside too

Sprinklers would have kept the smoke down inside and offered more time for those at the top to escape. Obviously . Those at the top had no chance its as simple as that ,any chance is better than no chance isn’t it. Also only 1 stairway as escape is also completely disregarding human saftey ,but thats another story.

I understand perfectly well why Tory politicians like him think this way, from his point of view government should get out of the way of business making money, after all markets know best, and follows the premise of if you can’t afford it then that’s your fault.
With people like this they don’t see it as their job to serve you, they just promise you the earth and then end up taking it off you.
What I find so disturbing, is that these idiots are tolerated and successfully get themselves elected.
Why do Tory Voters persist in blindly following or is it just easier to believe rather than think for themselves?

Imo , a lot of tory voters have an ideology ,its everyone who gets has the right ,regardless of the get and who off and how much ,,losers deserve their fate …gangsters and bullies have the same ideology ,,,enough is never enough also as once money to secure for life is got ,then power over others comes into play,,they believe they pay for all and everyone should bow to that.
Economy was once the tory mandate and some of their voters still believe that this tory party is the sensible and labour spend spend spend on stupid pipedreams …they were right and would be right if this was a conservative party and not a thatcher ideologist party.
A true conservative would be economically astute a true labour would be economically
redundant ,,,so ”why should I work to pay for those who don’t” vs ”why should we do without basics while someone has 100,000,000” .
The tory party has gone its a thatcher dream party thats in power using old logic to win voters ..cant say I blame the voters after T Blair fiasco…but the ideology of thatchers is poisonous and self consuming as you see in the media comments.
The fact that govs and people have failed for 40 years to create work for everyone is the fault ,,education for the workplace and jobs for all on leaving education is not done as greedy ideologists prefer to have power than a shared equal democracy ..mention share and they go into overdrive of commy looney ,,how they lived in a bakebean tin to get the 30000000000000 quid working 64 hours a day 12 days a week lol ..
.but to those that have actually worked to get a decent house, they can’t vote for labour as they always get screwed …millionaires get screwed ,,these people still work hard and create wealth for the country. Richard Branson,Duncan Ballantyne etc”
I think the lids coming off though ,,the conservatives need to vote these tories out and get back to being consevatives ,,labour really should not be allowed near an economy but nor should evil despots …if you get my drift.
Cameron had the best chance in 35 years of becoming the greatest prime minister this country has ever had ..then omg its a 35 year old grudge party not a new gov at all.
We need as corby has shown a human ,,is it him ? I don’t know ,I doubt it ,,I can’t stand a lot of the labour MP’s as well…I would if I could ,ask all MP’S from all parties to look up and say hey ,,lets us lot of people who want the job for fairer and better for all (and I mean all) start a whole new party and leave these stupid bigots and crackpots left right left right to their selves…see who gets what vote then.
Just my opinion no need to wah rah bah 🙂
