(not satire – it’s the Tories!)
Despite all the other news they could be reporting on at the moment, the mainstream newspapers seem to be concentrating on the ‘scandal’ of whether Tory MP Michael Fabricant’s hair has been enhanced or not.
But the real Tory ‘hairgate’ scandal is the fact that David Cameron gave an MBE to his hairdresser.
No, really, he did:
Cameron’s hairdresser given MBE
The guy apparently charges 90 quid for a cut.
Now that’s a genuine scandal.

Is that a typo Tom? “The guy apparently charges 90 quid for a cut.” I reckon you left out a letter in the last word …

MBE? Or OBE? One of these must be a typo.
Generally the OBE goes to people who boss others around (it’s said to stand for “Other B*ggers’ Efforts”.
MBE tends to go to lowlier folk who do the work (“My Bloody Efforts”).
Assuming the hairdresser did the vital snipping and comb-overing of the Prime Ministerial bald spot with his own hands rather than delegating, an MBE would be more likely.

You might be right, maybe I misread it.
In that case, 90 quid doesn’t sound all that bad …….

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for unemployed Welsh , I did not speak out – because I am not unemployed or Welsh .
Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me.

Why shouldn’t Cameron give recognition to his hair dresser? after all he does do a superb job of covering Cameron’s bald spot.
I’m sure he is eternally grateful, and surely needs all the blind coverage he can get, like his bald spot it’s all getting a bit thin these days, he’s feeling a bit exposed.

If there is no one left, after all the previous mass alien abductions, you wouldn’t really want to end up living alone, would you, so when the next extra-planetary space vehicle lands, I should call it quits and go along with them…..

I always had the rather strange feeling or intimation that Michael Fabricant himself had been fabricanted [sic] in some Frankensteinian laboratory, then released and sprung on an unsuspecting Westminster…. 🙂
