A detective has revealed that thousands of pornographic images and videos were found on Theresa May’s deputy PM Damian Green’s laptop and the internet history on Green’s device showed pornography had been viewed extensively:

Green, however, adamantly refuses to resign. The Tory MP’s supporters claim that since the pornography was not extreme or illegal, it is a personal matter and not a matter for resigning or firing.
Which is strange, because the MP for Ashford, Kent’s own Tory council – Kent County Council – has fired a least three of its own workers for exactly the same thing:

So the usual Tory hypocrisy then – one rule for themselves, and another rule for the plebs.
Pride's Purge 
When did he admit to viewing porn, legal or otherwise? He has always strenuously denied viewing or downloading porn. Someone please send me a link as I would be disappointed to find Pride’s Purge ‘making it up’ as they go along.

To all those who believe Green’s protestations of innocence, all I can do is quote Mandy Rice Davies: ” well, he would say that wouldn’t he”.

Mr Pride – Where on earth did you get the idea that Damien Green claimed “his viewing porn at work is not a resigning matter”? He said he didn’t view any at all.

Do you believe two forensic police officers or the accused?
Why is no one saying the police officers lied. Is it because there are contemporaneous police reports which were made at the time?
Now the Tory rhetoric has changed to police officers breaking confidentiality.
Why did the Tories conducting an inquiry into the issue not want the two police officers to give evidence to the enquiry?

Tom, please post a reference to verify that. Cannot find any other reference to him admitting viewing or that alleged statement?

Putting the morality issue aside for a minute… if there are thousands of images that Green has viewed are we able to estimate how long he has spent viewing each image and how much of taxpayers money this equates to in terms of his working hours.. I knew he was a wanker I just didn’t expect to have to pay for him to prove it to me!

It is a resigning matter- how can anyone possibly argue that it isn’t.
Viewing pornography on any work computer is unacceptable. This is not arguable! Why is this even a discussion. Green must go!

What is found at the first link is this:

I don’t think there is any valid argument against the validity of that statement.

Please note that the ex-policeman who allegedly found the images on Green’s computer says that he only found THUMBNAIL images. No mention of actual full-sized pictures, and CERTAINLY no mention of pornographic VIDEOS.
It’s quite common for internet browsers to follow links which emanate from the CURRENT page you are browsing on the internet, in order to pre-download text and images from those links, just in case you click one of them. This is a process known as “caching”, and it helps speed up your browsing experience. Text and images can be downloaded and cached via a web link EVEN WHEN YOU DON’T ACTUALLY END UP BROWSING TO THAT PAGE. Email client software can also cache information from any weblinks in an email, even if you don’t click on the link.
If the computer in Green’s office was used for the everyday email and social media tasks that most MPs have, it’s likely that a lot of spam emails arrived at that computer. It’s something that most internet-connected computer users have to put up with. Many of these spam emails contain dodgy links to pornography, and others may contain phishing attempts, which try to direct you to dodgy websites where you are asked for personal information and/or security details.
Given these circumstances, it is perfectly possible for a computer’s internet cache to contain all sorts of data from the internet, EVEN WHEN THAT DATA HAS NOT BEEN VIEWED DIRECTLY BY ANY USER OF THAT COMPUTER.
Furthermore, it CANNOT be guaranteed that Damian Green himself accessed any dodgy websites. Already this week we have heard from some MPs (including Nadine Dorries) who have admitted that trusted assistants have access to their login details at the House of Commons. This is to allow those assistants to help deal with the large amount of correspondence that an MP (especially a high-profile MP or Minister) receives.
Again, given these circumstances, the claims made by ex-policeman Neil Lewis that he has “no doubt” that Green was viewing porn SHOULD BE REGARDED WITH THE GREATEST OF CAUTION.

Graham Cluley, who often pops up on various media as a security expert, worked at the company at the same time as me. Dr Solomon’s was taken over by the American “Network Associates” group in 1998, so I transferred across to the new company and worked as a Quality Assurance tester on the world-famous “McAfee VirusScan” product for a number of years.
