JD Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin claims he closed down the group’s social media accounts because they were taking up too much time.

But a (now deleted) Twitter account from former Wetherspoon’s social media team members, claims the accounts were shut down and deleted because the firm was “in fear of being caught for social data “misuse” connected to what it called the #VoteLeave “scam”:
