So it’s somewhat of a surprise to discover that Chandler has just arranged to buy EU citizenship for himself and his family under Malta’s citizenship by investment scheme, under which wealthy individuals can obtain an EU passport, and the right to work, live and reside in EU member states:

It’s not a surprise at all. Chandler and Stoleson are buying Maltese citizenship so they can form companies there and still manipulate money within the EU after Brexit. To them it’s a business decision – an investment which will make a profit in future.
They are acting in self-interest and the concept that it might be hypocritical is meaningless to them. That’s how they became very rich in the first place.

Whilst I support the notion that Big Business is behind a hard Brexit, when I say that of course I mean American Big Business, as a lot of Britain’s Companies that have business interests in Europe are not keen on a hard Brexit. The Hard Brexit can be explained as further liberalistion and hard core free trade, free market ideology.
None of which will benefit working people in this country.
But I also want to point out that left wing people who believe our salvation lies in Europe is also mistaken, there is a left Brexit that understands that Europe has serious
problems that are irreconcilable, unless there is a massive political transformation in the largest countries such as Germany, France, Italy, and the low Northern countries.
Which is not going to happen soon.
Europe has irreconcilable trade imbalances due to the regulations instituted by the ECB, and the driver behind all of this is Germany. which is the main beneficiary of the policy.
The only viable political solution for Britain is to adopt Jeremy Corbyn’s well thought out policy of recognising the referendum result whilst negotiating arrangements with Europe that will be in the interest of Britain as well as those of Europe.
Britain does not have the same manufacturing base it once had because Thatcher deliberately destroyed it with her interest rate policy that created rates of inflation that were previously unheard of. So we can’t pay our way in the world by trading with other countries, and Thatcher even said herself that it is better to import cheaper goods from the rest of the world than to make them here ourselves. Nonsense of course but that is what has happened.
To sum up what the real problem facing us is, that we have Neo-Liberal governments in Europe and here creating legislation that empowers corporations and institutes free market free trade theology that works against the interests of people and democracy itself, leaving ordinary people powerless and enslaving them in a capitalist system where debt becomes a way of life, in short we all become modern day serfs.
There is a better way, which Labour’s new team understand, and staying in Europe won’t achieve that.

Whether or not Jeremy Corbyn’s policy is well thought out – and frankly, it seems to me to be no different to the wishful thinking of Liam Fox and company; this item is about Christopher Chandler and the Legatum Institute’s influence on the current PM, and Chandler’s hypocrisy in buying himself a Maltese passport. Chandler is a New Zealander based in Dubai. Why the fuck should any British government, even one as stupid, incompetent, and corrupt as May’s shower of shit, be taking the advice of yet another foreigner whose only qualification seems to be that he’s a stinking rich arsehole?
