Can’t be only me finds this Daily Mail article today utterly vile:
If like me, your stomach also turns at this attempt to justify the murder of mother-of-two Jo Cox by blaming it on immigration – why not tell the Daily Mail or their reporters Chris Greenwood and Emine Sinmaz who wrote this disgusting piece what you think of their work?
At least for once they didn’t try to blame the tragedy on Jeremy Corbyn.
Unlike some …

The Daily Mail has been a vicious right wing rag since before WWII – it was supportive of the Nazi party. It is a disgusting tabloid to conflate the 2 issues of Jo Cox MP’s killing & immigration (racism).

The disgusting Daily Heil breaks cover and finally finds a way to make excuses for the unapologetic, remorseless Nazi Terrorist who brutally murdered Jo Cox in a savage act of terrorism. Should I be surprised? Of course not

“My Dear Führer, I have watched with understanding and interest the progress of your great and superhuman work in regenerating your country” The Daily Mail is honouring its proprietor Lord Rothermere and upholding a long tradition of Nazi fraternity.

Can’t think that the two authors have anything but a love of hate and spiteful and vindictive personalities, so I couldn’t possibly relate to them the disgust I feel for their article.

I hold no brief for the Daily Mail. I think it is a ghastly paper – very free-and-easy with the facts BUT this article sounds to me pretty plausible. The murderer of poor dear Jo Cox is a pathetic loner with an obsessive interest in extreme right-wing causes. It sounds to me quite likely that a deluded belief that he was facing eviction from his house because the local Council needed to house ‘foreigners’ was one of his motives for the murder. I heard only yesterday from a friend that a farmer she knows voted for Brexit (against his own economic interests) because he believed that the local lanes (in Shropshire, of all places) would be choked with migrants if we didn’t leave the EU. The tone of your piece (and of the bulk of comments on it) is frankly Spartist and best confined to page 97 of Private Eye

Apalling! So he is entitled to stab her 15 times and shoot her in the head as she protected her staff. Typical, pathetic excuse of a man. Look at his ” library”. Ashamed of people like him. Thoughts are with her family at such an awful time.

You’re right here – at least even the Daily Fail didn’t dare associate JC with the (genuinely) tragic attack on Jo Cox. We all need to be doing what we can to support Brendan Cox as he copes with the pain of being a single father
