Apparently evangelical Christians in the US voted en masse for Donald Trump because they believe it is “God’s will” that Trump becomes President and the most powerful person in the world.
So why is it not even one of them has noticed that Trump’s name literally means “The Great Deceiver” – or in other words another name for Satan and the name of the person who is supposed to bring about the end of the world in the book of Revelations.
The name Donald in old English or Celtic means “great ruler”:
… and the original meaning of Trump in old English was “to deceive”:
So ‘Donald Trump‘ is literally the ‘Great Deceiver‘.

Hahaha, I see how it “adds” up now you’ve posted to Andy… also I don’t think andy quite gets the point that this is meant to be a pisstake/satire site; so even if it didn’t add up in any way shape or form it would be just as “revelation”-al.

No, sorry Tom & Jonathan that sum still goes right over my head. I get that the site is all about satire. I may be dim, but I’m not that dim. I hope I’m wrong, but I feel that this man is so dangerous that irony & satire are wasted on him.

Take a deep breath, hold it, and start working out in your head why people voted this way. Standard-issue bile and propaganda won’t serve any purpose; sitting on the escape valve on the pressure cooker only works for so long. Depersonalize and start looking at issues, especially the challenges faced by Western economies.
Did you think that e.g. Germans were naturally Nazis, before their utter economic ruin post WWI? Look at causes, not effects.

In Yorkshire, ‘trump’ means fart. I’d be more worried if Trump turned out to have just one bollock – like Hitler.

I cannot urge every reader (or christian) too much, to study ETYMOLOGY (root- word).
For instance, Math (-ematics), a gk. word, originally means “to learn”. That being said, DO NOT accept the first source, but build a knowledge of a WORD from the root up. I have dozens of dictionaries, and (one) Webster’s Dictionary does not always agree with another Webster’s dictionary etymology. It also helps to consult name books, and to compare the same scripture in different Bible translations.
Donna means lady, donald means lord (don) of the world (ald).
When I think of Jesus birth and life, I cannot but remark that Trump was born into a world in an opposite manner to Jesus.
Trump: to trick or deceive.
Some sources point out trump from triumph. TRIUMPH originally means: (thriambos) a hymn to bacchus (aka dionysus).

Oh there is a box set of deceptive tricks – before the Apocalypse or Revelation begins there are supposed to be ‘Signs and wonders’ or in New Testament Greek ‘semeia’ and ‘teras’ meaning signs that appeal to the understanding and wonders that appeal to the imagination, which are also set up to deceive (Greek – planao – to err).
E.G. Ref: New Testament Matthew chapter 24 verse 24.
So there will be a run on triple 6’s (I’d imagine there’s job lots in the funny handshaking establishment) but I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it, if the book of Revelation really kicked off no one would be left in any doubt. Sleep well Tom.
PS: for centuries theologians, mystics and even the mercury laden, praying to Jupiter out of his head alchemist Isaac Newton (thought of as the last great magician) have tied the book of Revelation with the Old Testament book of Daniel to try and calculate when the Revelation would occur. Daniel has an additional description of the signs and wonders, used to try and change the appointed times of judgement that come with the Revelation.
