Dear Leavers,
Polling shows us most of you voted to leave the EU for two main reasons.
Firstly, you wanted to regain sovereignty for Britain, and secondly most of you wanted to see a reduction in the numbers of people from other countries coming into the UK:
The sad truth is, however, that your leaders – who are now in control of Brexit – have no intention of reducing immigration after the UK leaves the EU:
And it looks like your leaders have absolutely no intention of regaining sovereignty for Britain either.
Quite the opposite in fact.
They want Brexit so they can sell off large parts of British services and infrastructure to foreign interests outside the EU – particularly in the US and China:
We also know those who ran the Brexit campaign openly lied to you about spending more money on the NHS if the UK voted to leave the EU.
Which is no surprise when you discover that your leaders have been trying to privatise and sell off the NHS for years:
I’m sorry to tell you your leaders didn’t want you to vote for Brexit in order to reduce immigration, regain sovereignty, or have more money to spend on essential services such as the NHS and schools.
They want Brexit so they can reduce your wages …
… and scrap all of the EU regulations that protect your health and safety at work and give you rights such as maternity and sick leave:
And your leaders wanted you to vote Brexit, because being outside the EU will make it easier for them to sell off our services and infrastructure to their wealthy foreign friends, and turn our fantastic country into little more than a sweat shop.
The awful truth is that you have been had. You’ve been sold a pup. Your leaders have sold you down the river.
The only mystery is why more of you aren’t more angry with your own leaders?

Bilateral trade agreements automatically cede sovereignty, to some extent. Leaving the EU won’t bring sovereignty back, it will just rearrange it.

Everybody I know who voted to leave ( and that was a lot of people) voted so for a number of reasons. Sovereignty( or leaving the unnecessary political union) was one, and regaining control over immigration was another. Nobody I spoke to had a problem with immigration itself, the problem was bend is ‘uncontrolled’ EU immigration. Anybody within the EU regardless of capability or requirement has free access. This comes at the expense of better qualified people from the rest of the World.
Some Remoaners stupidly and ignorantly state that regaining control in this manner is racist, when the opposite is true. The EU is mainly Caucasian, and unfettered access for mainly caucasians from the EU regardless of skill set instead of access to people of other nations and races is surely inherently racist.

SHOCKING NEWS!!! Our leaders are liars!
Brexit might yet cause the destruction of the rest of the EU – as UK seemed to have been the pinnacle on which the rest were balanced.
All said and done, Theresa May is leading a fascist gov’t that will scrap human rights. Maybe this would’ve happened anyway, despite Brexit. We’ll never know….

The primary reason for which the EU was convened was not trade, but to prevent a recurrence of the fascism that led to WWII. As such it must have incorporated powers from the beginning to head off such an event.
So although there may be valid reasons for a country seeking to leave the EU, a headlong descent into fascism on the part of a government embroiiled in escalating racisim and the serious violation of the human rights of vulnerable citizens (as being confirmed in the UK by an ongoing series of UN investigations), should not not be any part of them.
The current situation regarding Britain, is the exact situation that the EU exists to prevent, so its petulant shrug of ‘good riddance’ is absolutely unconscionable and would appear to be unconstitutional as well.
Likewise if the ECHR was ever anything more than window dressing, there should be effective powers to prevent a rogue and increasingly fascist nation from involuntarily stripping ANY Eurpean Citizen of that citizenship or their Human Rights. Surely the Commission should continue to assert and uphold the established rights and full citizenship of EVERY individual under its protection – including defending them FROM abuse by their governments – rather than selling them up the river to a very uncertain fate. No European Citizen should face discrimination because of the accident of their nationality.
Both the EU and the ECHR need to get off their apathetic backsides and start actually doing what they have always existed to do, and act to defend EVERY European Citizen – including anyone defrauded into voting against their own interests by blatant lies and propaganda.

Why couldn’t we adopt the same controls as those in Spain towards EU migrants?

The referendum was the battle between the free trade libertarians and those wanting to remain in an EU with embedded and an increasingly authoritarian and undemocratic structures. There were good arguments to vote Remain, Leave and even to abstain… but the truth is that there were only least worse options and no good ones.
Your letter indicates that the free traders are currently in the ascendency but in many respects that is not worse than being ‘locked in’ by the Washington consensus trade deals which are tantamount to Corporate rule. They are all bad.
The difference between being in or out of the EU, is that a future UK government will be able to unilaterally withdraw from toxic trade deals, re-nationalise the railways and the NHS etc and implement a fiscal keynesian style economic stimulus. None of which is possible under the Lisbon treaty or the EU’s form of Ordoliberalism … as Greece has discovered to her cost.
The Referendum result has produced a mess in which people will be hurt but make no mistake, so has/will/would staying in the EU under it’s current leadership and treaties. TiSA coming down the line is intended to recreate the cold war, using trade deals as the economic weapon to pull democratically elected governments into line.
There are no simple answers to all of this… whether we like it or not, we are having to deal with the contradictions created by the 0.1% waging war on the rest of us.
I remain certain that we are on the same side in our determination to win a better world for the 99.9%… so keep on doing what you’re doing Tom Pride 🙂

Dear Pride’s Purge – The poll says “regain control over immigration” and your rhetoric has changed that to “a reduction in the numbers”. Are you too thick to understand the difference?

Sorry, but this is desperate, arrant, specious, false-equivalence nonsense. First of all, it’s an economic and customs union with our neighbours, most of whom happen to be predominantly white. (We can let Turkey in if you like?)
Second, the citizens of those countries are of all races, and all are just as welcome as the Caucasians.
Third, there is no “instead of”. Non-EU migrants are not banned (in fact, non-EU immigration to the UK has always been higher than immigration from EU member states).
The Trumpesque, finger-pointing, “I’m not going to answer your accusation, but instead make one of my own” strongly suggests that you are guilty as charged.

Since the regulations and rights the tories are getting rid of were written by our own civil service and ratified by our own government after ‘umbrella’ legilstion at which our own M.E.P.s consulted, it appears to me that the tories will use this muddle to enact their own TTIP.. Dont know whether to laugh or cry cos they culled the civil service of the expertise to turn this chaos to any advantage in the cause of reducing government. Now they plan to pay private companies billions to persue this farce.

No-one said they had a problem with ‘immigrants’ but with ‘uncontrolled immigration’? And you really believe that? Do you read UK history? Check the opinion polls, which stated that in the run up to the UK elections in 2015 immigration was peoples number one issue? Opinion poll results that strangely have now been swept under the carpet in the rush to claim ‘it was all about sovereignty and we aren’t at all racist’.
Historically we have been totally intolerant towards immigrants. From the Huguenots, to the Jews, Irish, West Indians, Asians, any historian worth their salt will point to the effective ghettos of these peoples, the racist attitude towards them, the Tory party at one point openly using it in Birmingham to win seats! We have never welcomed immigrants with open arms, and only our conservative nature has stopped the far right from doing better than it has over the last century.
Worst of all, is the fact we cannot accept we are racists underneath. Racism denial is rampant among the British, and various studies have proved this. This ‘it was all about sovereignty’ (it smacks of ‘I have a black mate’) argument is the very best proof of it, because everyone I spoke to that made this case, then, after it was shot down in flames, reverted too – ‘well there’s too many immigrants coming in’.
Deny it as you will, which is very ‘British’ of you, the vast majority of people voted over immigration, not too much of it, not because it is ‘unchecked’ but because they don’t like immigrants. Period.

The UK had a vote to refuse to take more EU citizens sometime around 2003 or so when Poland and other countries joined. Germany used their right to refuse then as they had just taken in 20million+ of East German citizens in the decade before. The UK were happy to welcome Eastern Europeans then and now talk about not having control. The UK is unable to issue national ID cards or any other form of registration to its citizens like Germany and France do and then wonder why they do not know who lives in the UK. That is clearly not the fault of the EU or any other country.

It was mostly the recent immigration from the EU that irked some people – and most of these immigrants are white Eastern Europeans, so the racism reason doesn’t necessarily fit there.
However, widespread MSM reporting on an alleged refugee invasion and the associated Islamophobia ideas didn’t help. (Ironically, the refugees were from areas that were ravaged by wars caused by the EU “allies” themselves).

The irony here is that many of the Brexiteers who voted on the immigration issue are first or second generation immigrants themselves.

Either the EU is a sinking boat, and the UK got off just in time, or Brexit has caused the sinking boat effect on the rest of the EU – because the rest of Europe (including Hungary who now seems to be the most anti-immigration/anti-muslim European country) relied on the wealth of the UK, directly by coming here, or indirectly from EU funds. Its chicken and egg…imo, but the UK might be pulling down the portcullis just in time.
Fact is, since the Blairite times, any level of EU immigrant was encouraged to live here, whilst immigration from the rest of the world, including from ‘the colonies’ and the Commonwealth, became more difficult, even for highly skilled workers. It’s the Home Office, if anyone, who was and still is racist.
The Brits had lived on an insular island for a long time before easy global travel, rendering them naturally paranoid about Germans, “Johnny Foreigner” and other bogey men enemies. They are just as xenophobic as any other country.

Andy Bodie, you are gravely mistaken if you think the EU is simply an economic and customs union. That is simply bizarre. You also seem to have missed the point I was making with regard to immigration. Unfettered access to EU citizens means there are less jobs available for non-EU citizens. Simple really.

Tom, this is great. May I suggest you find a way to turn this into a video, and get it onto the Brexit circuit on YouTube. There’s some powerful pro-Brexit stuff out there, that I could see persuading people who do not have alternative sources of info to hand. Turning this into a video format could really help reach other parts.

Absolute rubbish!! I and many others didn’t vote leave for sovereignty or immigration reasons! The EU is an organisation is an ‘Old Boys club’ which has become rotten to the core with the influential people becoming too comfy in their roles that they are corrupt! It is an institution that works well for some countries and is disasterous for others – the UK belonging to the latter – quite obviously! In many spheres of our economy we have become hamstrung at every turn – it simply doesn’t work – not only for us but for many other countries. As for taking away our rights such as Maternity leave and Health and safety at work – try doing some research – we have had such regulations in place well before our EU Membership!!

New World Order mate, that’s what the EU is all about. It is no accident that the govt. in line with EU and USA are all using Austerity … They have been told to, to make the agenda 21/agenda 2030 continue to roll out as planned .. the move toward globalisation… 1st step, create a world bank … 2nd step, environmental … create land that is no longer to grow natural organic crops and ruin farmers and buy their land, so that the secret corporations cabal can buy it all up … tax absolutely everything .. think about the carbon tax, and how money markets used it as a form of currency … already i’m bored with writing this….. so go do some research and see that I am right.

USA are already forming a union of North America, in the same manner of the EU that links Canada and Mexico (Explains why Trump is such a bad Candidate for Pres. with his ideas for a wall), with Brazil in there maybe. this is the TTP and CETA (like the TTIP and TISA the US want to inflict on EU and the UK)

Look up “The Bilderberg Group” , UK, note that George Osbourne attended this year’s annual meeting in London as did the Oligarcs that own the banks and Wall street trading is controlled by them. You might then understand why for the elections in USA, the powers that be, are so very desperate for Hillary Clinton to become President.
and Check out the UN own paper on Agenda 21, and Agenda 2030 … once you have read the propaganda (The official version) Then check out the conspiracy theories around them on Youtube … soon you will realise they aren’t con. theories. They can all be evidenced.

It is bigger than sell-offs.
The collapse of the Berlin Wall meant that wealthy West Germany had to reintegrate with the poorer East Germany. The formation of the EU no doubt helped with the funding of this. To say that the EU was formed before the Wall came down only means that some people don’t understand how many decades Western secret services can plan ahead for something, or, on the other hand, how time delays can be used to hide motives behind events, or to confuse the tracing of them.
A larger, wider view, is that of the USA/NATO anti Russia stance. The EU has successfully lured satellite nations of the old Soviet Block to apply for EU membership, pulling them away from Russia’s influence and grip. The next step, as has been recently revealed, is the creation of a EU army to consolidate the unity and safety of Western and Eastern Europe against Russia. The problem is, Putin is not stupid. Creating such an army on his doorstep is not a good move. It is provocative to Putin, and his action on Ukraine and Syria is letting people know he is not to be messed with.
The EU puppets have been overstepping the mark, getting too big for their boots, going beyond the purpose they were created for, and think they are gods. More like a lunatic bunch of little Napoleons. Their usefulness is now ebbing. The creation of an EU army could bring war from Russia. The Euro currency is not sitting well with either the US Dollar, or Stirling. It was created as part of the EU scam.
Look what happened to Gadaffi’s ambitions for an African Dollar. It helped to bring about his destruction because it would have destabilised Western systems.
Many of these puppet regimes are destroyed if they step out of line, or take on a life of their own.
The good old UK may be keeping world peace by throwing a spanner into the EU banana republic’s ambitions. NATO has it all in hand, the EU could cause yet another world war.
I could go on but, isn’t it time to quit all the tiny-mindedness about Brexit. 99% of remain “experts” don’t seem to have an iota of understanding about what is going on in the world.
Brexit? Go along with it. It’s for the best.
BTW, I believe Mothercare have had a run on soothers and nappies, so be quick, you remainers.
