Well if we all turn up on mass on the day drilling is due to start then they can’t go ahead. I don’t mean a few hundred activists, I mean a mass turnout to show how the public feel about this. This is too important a decision to leave to the good folk of Lancashire and a few green supporters, we need to truly unite and get behind this appalling go ahead.

Not surprised. Government talk about consultation is nonsense as is localism, local democracy and even national democracy. Those who think they elect a government are delusional as are so many who the public return as their parliamentary representatives. They soon go Westminster native. Some willingly, but so many others, out of their depth, merely become the unwitting playthings of a plutocratic establishment whose sole aim is to create obscene wealth for a privileged few at the expense of the rest and without a care for the planet or bodies left in a trail of wanton greed motivated destruction. Unfortunately, the parasitic locusts stripping what was an earthly paradise are sustained in their cruel vileness by the gullible, the unscrupulous, and those devoid of soul and principle.

I hope some of that money goes directly to the areas where the Fracking will take place. Also the land owners are not conned by land men in cheap contracts. I am gutted that the democracy we are forceing down the necks of the world, doesn’t seem to work in its birthplace. That’s for you cavalier attitude to local health & well being. You don’t have to live with the problem.

The original democracy was in Greece where all those eligible to participate would be able to attend speak and vote especially on matters such as going to war. There were no lawyers and when in dispute with another citizen each would be able to put their case. We have a form of democracy in the UK but we are all subjects of the head of state who rules through the Privy Council and its sub committees. It is sometimes forgotten that House of Lords is the Upper House whose members are appointed for life hence the titled life peer although the ability to be only tried by other peers has long since abolished but in ant event few peers have been charged with any kind offence It is also important to appreciate that while Parliament has to formally authorise anything to do with taxation the government, can ask the head of state to use the prerogative and make Orders in Council which in effect by pass parliament. The UK government has always trade with countries which are not democracies, sell weapons to any country with rare exceptions and turn an eye away or if it appears to be in the national interest.

It gets better. March 3-7 2017 Sajid Javid attended the American Enterprise Institution (AEI) World Forum. This was held on Sea Island, Georgia, USA. The AEI paid his costs. The AEI is funded by, among others, The Anschutz Family Foundation and Exxon Mobil. It would be fair to say they are pro-fracking, there are a couple of articles concerning bribery to scientists to denigrate reports about greenhouse gases and global warming. Sea Island is a privately owned area that contains two limited access resorts. The island is owned by the Anschutz family. The Anschutz Exploration Corporation unsuccessfully sued the town of Dryden, New York, in September 2011, because the local Government placed restrictions on the types of industry that could be carried out. Including a total ban on any type of fracturing process. I hope that helps. All the above facts are a matter of Public Record.
