rudd-hypocrisy

Amber ‘Mein Kampf‘ Rudd has announced she is to force firms to reveal how many foreign workers they employ.

Rudd’s sudden newly-found enthusiasm for openness and transparency doesn’t seem to stretch to herself however.

The Home Secretary has accepted substantial amounts of cash from private donors whose identities she refuses to make public.

Some Tory Party MPs hide the identity of the people bankrolling them by allowing donors to channel money through three private Conservative Clubs set up for this specific purpose.

A quick look at Rudd’s declarations of financial interests shows she has received tens of thousands of pounds from all three clubs :

  • Name of donor: The Carlton Club
Address of donor: 69 St James’ Street, London SW1A 1PJ
  • Name of donor: United & Cecil Club
Address of donor: Beckfield, Crouch Lane, Winkfield, Windsor SL4 4TN
  • Name of donor: The Tandridge Club
Address of donor: Thatchers, Pastens Road, Limpsfield, Oxted RH6 0RE

This is – unfortunately – entirely legal.

But yet more hypocrisy from the ‘do-as-I-say-but-not-as-I-do’ party.
