Lib Dem peer Lady Nicholson has just announced she has re-defected back to the Tories.
Nicholson’s defection comes 20 years after she defected to the Lib Dems from the Tories because of what she called the party’s “shilly- shallying” over Europe.
In 1995, Nicholson also said the Tories anti-EU policies were “rotten for Britain, bad for our people and abominable for trade”.
Erm … Nicholson doesn’t think the Tories are “shilly-shallying” enough over Europe now?

perhaps she has memory loss and this bears out that age doesnt come just with loneliness. inhibitions are lost as you progress to thinking. ‘ whats life about? and what has it all been for? perhaps realisation that libdems didnt release the vice- like grip of the self serving and greed. This prompted her to change? or did she realise that she is in this category and she was one of them. has accepted the pieces of silver by accecpting her so called honour. thus she is no better or worse than a tory. Tories are hypocrites and now are running an illegal majority in the government. Doesnt this make the current government illegal? and have they thus an obligation to prepare for another election and not make any further policies??? all comments welcome
