The Africans For Britain group has dramatically quit the anti-EU Vote Leave campaign after what it called the “very alarming” comments by Boris Johnson about Barack Obama’s ancestry:

The group also said it was concerned the anti-EU campaign is being taken over by a “radical wing”:
There are many decent people who believe in Brexit.
So why has it decided to front its campaign with the most odious people it could find?

I understand why they have disassociated themselves from the EU referendum. All I can say is it’s going to get dirty and all in the name of “entertainment” by those in Parliament.
I’ve said before and I’ll say again, this whole “referendum” is a set up and the UK is staying in the EU and it doesn’t matter if 100% of the population vote to leave, we’ll still stay in!
I say roughly 55% to stay and 45% to leave – very similar results to the Scottish referendum…

It shouldn’t be surprising that African supporters of Brexit are offended by the perceived racism of BoJo’s comments about Barack Obama and his African ancestry. What did sort of surprise me was that there were Africans for the Brexit campaign, considering the racist sympathies of so many Kippers and the Tory Right supporting Brexit. BoJo himself has form in this area. During his campaign to be mayor of London, either the Independent or the Guardian – I can’t remember which – did a long hit piece on him. This included some of the sneering comments he made about Africans during a tour of one of its countries. BoJo’s comments about Obama are what the transatlantic Right have been saying about him – and worse – from before he stepped into the White House. What’s driving so much of the Brexit campaign is fears about immigration, and particularly about Black and Asia immigration. And that’s going to come out in more comments like Boris’.

Its odd that the Africans didn’t previously realise Brexit will probably result in tougher immigration controls – Obama’s comments have supposedly made them know about this now.
