The new Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Stephen Crabb has a beard.
So it’s strange that the DWP seems to have decided that anyone who is unemployed will have their unemployment benefit stopped if they don’t shave:
Of course, Tories famously don’t like beards. Crabb is the first Tory minister since 1905 to sport facial hair.
Still. I suppose it’s not as bad as being sanctioned by the job centre for selling poppies. Or for attending a job interview:

Let them try and sanction me I’m on ESA and not had a WFI in 3 years.I’m not in the support group either but they claim I should be. it will be 6 years next month since I had a face to face interrogation. I think they crap themselves at the merest thought of me walking into their interrogation unit because I record everything

This ruthless draconian government needs to be stopped! What is wrong with people ?? This government sanction people for the slightest thing and the job centre no longrr helps people to find work it harasses them especially in places of high unemployment where they know theres little hope of jobs so the people in government are paid bonuses for sanctioning unemployed !! These draconian laws are beyond belief who thinks people should lose benefits for going to a job interview? I know firsthand of someone placed on a course and the last exam fell on his signing on day he was told he had to sign on and this was a course the job centre had put him on so he failed his exam because he would of been sanctioned had he not signed on or been late!! These places no longer help they are there to stop you and make it as difficult as possible to get benefits!! We have a government that thinks it is right to cut the benefits of the most disadvantaged under the banner of austerity and in the same breathe give tax back to the wealthiest!!! In a a fair and just society we would be appalled and disgusted and put a stop to these immoral MPs yet unfortunately today people are more concerned what is happeneing in reality shows and soaps and this is why this government is able to put through laws and cuts without anyway bothering – God help us because the tories are out to destroy all of us that are no use to them!!

Is it the men they tend yo pick on? I was once sanctioned for wearing short – clean pressed, even had a seam. Women I noticed when going to the job-centre many wear things the like jeans, short shirts etc and get away with it ? And do they have to shave – razors are very expensive these days !
