David Cameron has sent local newspapers in Lincolnshire a “personal” letter saying the county is his favourite place to holiday and one of the “jewels in Britain’s crown”:
Only problem is, Cameron also sent a similarly-worded letter to a local newspaper in York saying exactly the same thing about Yorkshire:
And local newspapers in Cornwall also got exactly the same “personal” letter:
And Northumberland:
And Norfolk. Or perhaps he meant Devon.
But at least one local newspaper in Yorkshire got wise to Cameron’s attempted PR stunt.
Typical Eton arrogance, thinks he can pull the wool over Yorkshire people’s eyes …

Be fair! He actually says they are ‘all one of many jewels’ not his favourite. Sorry to be pedantic but it’s hardly a major instance of hypocrisy and lying relative to his numerous other lies and general vindictiveness.

Didn’t he also say that about Cornwall? He,s spent several holidays down here. He,’s a lying creep. He did the same with the football teams he follows. Can’t be trusted.

Sorry to be O/T but the daily hate and torygraph said operation midland would be closed ‘within days’ ermm that was over a month ago..and its still ongoing .perhaps being briefed by a bent copper like paul settle isnt a good idea then..

Where Dave’s utterances are concerned, I think the old Norfolk saying applies increasingly appropriately: All cry and little wool. Not enough left by now to pull over anyone’s eyes.

He’s a consummate liar & twister. His performance in PMQs is an absolute disgrace. He never answers a valid question from the opposition and prevaricates by dragging out a whole load of stats that are not applicable to the question. The deceit of this government is appalling but sadly they still seem to be fooling the public. He took power by fooling the public with a pack broken promises and things haven’t changed. I wonder at the naivity of some people.

If you accuse somebody of lying when they plainly did not (and especially if it’s about something so trivial) then you will not be taken seriously when you next make a similar and perhaps more serious accusation.
