Today, under Cameron, we are seeing no less than the end of the welfare state.
If you’re sick and disabled – even dying – there is simply no safety net any more in this country.
There are now numerous cases of terminally sick cancer patients being refused sickness benefit and will have to work or starve because they are supposedly ‘fit for work’.
We also have parents of child cancer patients having to rely on food banks because the Cameron government decided being a carer means you will get no help from our increasingly non-existent welfare state:
Cameron’s Britain: 7-year old cancer patients on foodbank handouts
Another example of a victim of the Cameron government’s slashing of help and support for the sick, disabled and dying was Chris Smith, a plumber from Leicester with terminal cancer who sadly died recently:
And in more a recent case, a young woman with end-stage organ failure has been told she doesn’t qualify for help either. Read her full story here.
Meanwhile, MPs are complaining about having to pay 4 quid for a posh venison pie in their taxpayer subsidised staff restaurant in the House of Commons.

What a loathsome government we have – Cameron will be the most hated PM in history.

There is a difference. Yes, Blair led an illegal war, with the USA, and killed thousands abroad, with millions displaced and still suffering from the after effects of war and destabilised regions.
Cameron is still killing thousands here. The duty of any PM is to look after the well-being of the UK population first and foremost. He has divided the UK population into those who can eat, and those who cannot. The ones who cannot are being abandoned, in our midst.
One should be in Court facing War Crime charges. The other should be in the Court of Huma Rights for crimes against humanity, I won’t be a judge of who ultimately is / was “the worst”.

Tom Pride once again tells it like it is. And there’s an awful familiarity with it all. The cries of our MPs complaining about the charge they have to pay for luxurious meals, while tens of thousands, if not hundreds are really starving, is too much like the complaints of the rich during the French and Russian Revolutions. Marie Antoinette supposedly said, ‘Let them eat cake’. Our MPs moan about the price of venison pie. And meanwhile, one political analyst has said that if the rich don’t curtail their greed soon, they’ll become for them with pitchforks. The clock’s ticking, and the writing is definitely on the wall. And he who refuses to learn from history is doomed to repeat it.

The estates where that venison pie likely comes from don’t seem to have to deal with any benefit cuts: https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/end-the-royal-expenses-scandal-scrap-the-sovereign-grant-2

Florence – Blair is still WAY ahead of Cameron on the numbers of people killed. Short of using nuclear weapons I don’t think Cameron has a hope in hell of catching up before the next election.

Hey, this is nothing compared to the tory MP who has been paid £400,000 as a lawyer on top of his MP salary in the last year. He obviously knows a lot about poverty otherwise he wouldn’t have a second job!! The HoC committee agreed that he meant to tell them about this income but they let him off. Truly a representative democracy exists in the UK ……………
