Appearing on the Andrew Marr show this morning, legendary group Squeeze trolled fellow guest David Cameron by changing the words in the last verse of their song Cradle to the Grave to this:
I grew up in council houses,
part of what made Britain great,
but there’s some here who are hell bent,
on the destruction of the Welfare State.

Couldn’t agree more, Cameron is a man of little political gravitas who lacks judgement even apart from those mentioned above. For example, his granting of a knighthood to Lynton Crosby. A disgrace!

In the mid 1980’s I attended one of the leading international General business management courses and noted the hatred the Directors and would be chief executives had for the public sector match by their contempt for politicians and where three major themes dominated . The first preparedness to move HQs to countries with secure political systems which offered the lowest taxation rates and the preparedness to move manufacturing production plants again to countries with secure political systems and controlled or no trade unions to prevent low wage costs. The second was to employ creative in such a way that when the crossed the line and were caught you were able to remove all trace of their involvement with your organisation and decision to use them, The third was to secure the on going security of the expanding profit making business my making alliance with others in the same market sector with motor vehicle industry was one of those studied from the international perspective and to be ready and able to diversity the business with changes in demand within the context of the statutory interest to put the interests of the share holdesr first, second and third.

Plaudits and kudos to Squeeze for standing up and telling Cameron what’s what on the very show he’s on. And I also share Mike’s sentiments over at Vox Political, giving due credit to Tom Pride simply for sticking through the Andrew Marr show in the first place.
