Anybody who thinks local political party meetings are boring – especially ones involving Conservatives – will need to reassess their opinion.
Because according to a Wolverhampton newspaper, a local Tory party meeting was anything but boring.
Punches were thrown, a local council candidate (Jin Kalkat) was put in a headlock and one eye-witness described the meeting as “complete madness”:
“It was complete madness in there. Jin was punched and came out shouting at everyone. He walked into another room and then got put in a neck lock. People were stunned. The atmosphere turned very nasty. It is embarrassing for the party. We expect people to vote for us yet the way some members are carrying on is an absolute disgrace.”
OK, so I’m a bit surprised by the revelation that Tories are not always boring. But “nasty” and a “disgrace”?
What’s new?

This happens within political parties more frequently than most people appreciate.
