I’ve been asked by a few people if I could put all of the Tory children’s books in one place. So here they all are in one blog post (click to enlarge).
What a shame the irrational biased Tom Pride is bogging again. Like Corbyns young supporters who are too young to remember tha Atlee government, Wilson and Callaghan he is just blindly antiTory. Atlee, Wilson and Callaghan weren’t perfect but they were democratic socialists or social democrats. They lived through WW2 and the early Cold War. Atlees government started the NHS and at the same time started the UKs Atom bomb programme and funded 3 parallel V BOMBER programmes in case some of them failed. Wilson and Callaghan carried on with the U.K. Deterrent and upgraded it. They would have had nothing to do with Corbyn
.
The hard left of which Corbyn is a part are intolerant of opposing views, IE they don’t really believe in democracy
Cliveradley. Nice to see someone responding with a post almost as funny as the books. Now remind me……. which party doesn’t want union members to vote online over strike action because they might meet the new % requirement? which party has been corrected more times than all others put together over their misuse of statistics? Which party has formed a government having been voted for by just 24% of the electorate? And which leader was voted in with the largest majority in living memory? Would you like to rethink which party doesn’t believe in democracy…. after all its not Labour who are selling the country off to Saudi Arabia and China, those great bastions of liberal democracy in the world.
“The hard left of which Corbyn is a part are intolerant of opposing views, IE they don’t really believe in democracy” Maybe Cliveradley should read Chomsky on the undemocratic nature of neoliberalism. Chomsky, N (1999) Profit Over People: Neoliberalism and the Global Order. New York, Seven Stories Press
Very amusing, but with a touch too much truth for comfort.
I don’t see Mr Corbyn as ‘Hard Left’, which comes across as rudenss. The Conservative Party does seem unkeen on anything that might give a voice to others, and banning electronic voting for union ballots is surely a prime example.
Welcome back Tom, I always enjoyed your posts. Cliveradley? Kipper or even Britain First? Or merely a paid shill of Conservative Central Office? These Tory stoolies are always good for a laugh.
If Corbyn is so hard left why did the good people of True Blue Tory Guildford agree with four of his policies such as abolishing zero hours contacts, and regulating rents in the private sector. That is until they were told they were his policies
