why not donate it to a party in a country that are world leaders in renewable energy…
the snp share a renewable’s platform with the ssp and the scotgreens, the snp also vow to lock the tories (libdems…who are they?) out of power, drag labour (the orphaned party of keir hardie) back to it’s roots, end austerity and scrap trident….the UK is not a country btw… http://www.jonathonporritt.com/blog/renewable-energy-scotland….

This is a fascinating little interview, as Vince makes plain that he is bitterly opposed to the Tories because of their anti-environmental policies. He is convinced that renewable energy can supply all of Britain’s needs, without posing the catastrophic threats that nuclear or fracking does. In fact he makes the excellent point that fracking is more expensive in government subsidies than wind. He also states that as renewable energy is decentralised, people can make their own. This is true, as the number of people making money from the solar panels on their roofs shows.
One of the reasons renewable energy has been so slow taking off in this country, is because it was hindered through a concerted campaign by the energy companies back when John Major was in power. Private Eye published a number of articles describing moves by the Tories to block wind power and other forms of renewables by the Tories. The ministers involved all had connections to the nuclear industry, either just on their boards, or in thinktanks promoting nuclear. They were anything but impartial.
It’s good that one energy firm has decided to fight back, and support green issues against the nuclear and fracking lobbies and their Tory puppets.

oh, btw there is no form of truly sustainable electricity generation some forms are less environmentally/ecologically savage than others…even with fusion these problems still exist for example, what’s plugged into the end of the power lines…the problem is consumption..solar capture is locally good ie by leaf, food miles bad, bio-mass bad etc etc….
