There was fulsome praise for an Ed Miliband interview today in the online version of Metro magazine:
This Ed Miliband interview is so good we can’t believe it’s real
But the really surprising thing about the pro-Miliband article is who published it.
Metro is part of DMG Media – owners and publishers of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday.

it’s really great that he had a pampered and privileged childhood….which really doesn’t equip him to understand nor even consider those that don’t…except in the terms they must try harder….and that we must elevate ourselves to established methods of neoliberal reasoning/way of being/thinking to thrive….

This is astonishing. Mike over at Vox Political has reported that actually Miliband is a good debater and orator, and that the image of him as a floundering geek is a deliberate distortion. It seems this is true, and some at the Mail group are having to face that fact.

Whether it’s a positive view or a negative view, I dislike the culture in which the media has too much power over…well….everything!
From whether or not a politician is “nice” and full of banter to whether or not a woman’s choices are acceptable or not, this “one day we like someone, one day we don’t” culture does not contribute to genuine, thoughtful progress one jot.

It’s just your opinion’….but i’m living proof that the affects of severe child abuse are curable…i am the crime scene of dreadful abuse…but that doesn’t mean that i am going to tell you about my experiences therefore justify my self or prove it to you or anyone else for that matter…+ you’re always claiming that we’re not believed, and there you are not believing me now…
and also what is your response to this?

no one heals by focusing on the abusers, but by what they did…prevention! there are millions of abusers out there, and the best way of preventing abuse is if they come forward for effective treatment, focus on the cause of symptoms, not the symptoms…
