DWP tells grieving mum her sick son must attend work interview – on the day of his funeral
The Department for Work and Pensions sent a letter to the mother of a dying man telling him he had to attend a work interview while he was in intensive care.
And although the man’s mother told the Job Centre about her son’s serious condition – they ignored her and sent another letter which arrived on the day of her son’s funeral:
Grieving Burntwood mum hits out over job centre’s letter
But this is NOT an isolated case or a simple mistake.
Here is yet more proof that it is NOT so-called benefits fraudsters who are being targeted by the Cameron/Clegg government – but the genuinely sick, disabled and even dying:

Let’s be clear – Tory and Lib Dem MPs have decided terminally ill patients should work or starve

That’s if he can even spell his own name after a spot of nose candy

How long will it be before people on benefits are refused treatment because they haven’t ‘paid in’?
As far fetched as this might seem i wouldn’t put it past the DWP to do this if Smith is given another five years at the helm.

Two single mothers have lost their
Supreme Court challenge against cutbacks
in the benefits system
The women, who had both been victims of
domestic violence, had argued the cap had a
discriminatory effect on women, especially
those seeking to escape violent partners.
But the court ruled by a 3-2 majority that the
government’s benefit cap regulations were
not unlawful.
Work and Pensions Secretary lain Duncan
Smith said he was delighted
The Supreme Court decision upholds a Court
of Appeal ruling that the capping measures
measures
were lawful.
Iain Drunken Schitt was delighted that he had put victims of domestic violence through hell

One or two incidents like this you could treat as accidents. But as they keep happening they are likely deliberate. There exists precedents for this disgusting behaviour. One is military – to deliberately violate a defeated enemy by degrading what is important to them – psychological debasement to demoralise . The same tactics are used against subjugated races in preparation for enslavement. To break their spirit to bring about compliance.

As Tom Pride himself says, this is just one incident in a long line of grotesque episodes. It shows just how seriously the DWP do treat this issue when they continue to repeat it. Unfortunately, I think Ladyfreebird750 is right when she says that it won’t be too long before the welfare system is reorganised, so that you will be denied benefits if they decide you haven’t paid enough in.
And I’ve also no doubt that Prayerwarriorpsychicnot is also correct when they say that this is a deliberate ploy to break people’s spirit, based on military tactics used to conquer and enslave.

meanwhile sick and disabled to be forced onto CBT and IAPT psychological pseudo therapies in no-job centres to make them feel better about being punished by DWP.
Both these ‘therapies’ rely on reprogramming thought processes and, despite being of help for a small minority of people, have been described as brainwashing/buncom/snakeoil etc

Strange that when the Great and the Good are hauled before a court, even a slight twinge seems to get them off on ill-health.
Or if their tax affairs are investigated, they have plenty of opportunity to repay, contest the amounts and challenge rulings. And you can ask David Laws about expense claims.. understandable mistake, old chap, just pay it back and have a slap on the wrist.
In the scheme of things, the money saved by sanctioning would barely show up in government figures.

‘The governor you talked to was following the party line – the ‘replacement’, the so called DSPD units (Dangerous and Severe Personality Disorder units) cost £500,000,000, and achieved nothing. A Sainsbury Mental Health Centre Report condemned them – they never once asked me what I did …CBT doesn’t go to the root – which needs cutting….
yet they’re spending £1.25bn more on cbt/behaviourism the equivalent of curing the agony and damage of dropping a brick on one’s toes, by dropping an even bigger brick on them!

Whatever ever happened to the National Health Service. It seems it is a balance sheet. P.l.accont ability. With no value or care for people . Just people in there Ivory Towers who don’t know how it is out there living the real raw deal. Long overdue for a coming together for people power that once lived in our corner shops that kept local communities together. Power to the people let’s not let the Cameron be another Maggie that broke the backbone of the country all those years ago.!!!

I have a letter from a member of the cabinet in which his secretary/office staff say they have decided to ignore medical evidence when it comes to Work Capability Assessments. This was put in writing and sent to my MSP.
She photocopied the letter and sent it to me with a note, saying “I think you should see this.”
I’m sorry, I can’t say any more; I find this too upsetting.
