Polling shows the British public is considerably more left-wing than most of our mainstream parties.
Most people in the UK would renationalise the railways, postal delivery, gas, electricity and water utilities and a large majority of the British public want to see hospitals, schools, roads and prisons remain under state control:

And large majorities of the public would like to see the government control the prices of things such as gas, electricity, bus fares and even rents charged by private landlords.
The only sector in which the public (very slightly) supports private ownership is banks.
Which is pretty ironic considering the UK taxpayer has already had to fork out £1.162 trillion to the banks at the peak of the banking bail-outs – or a staggering 31% of GDP.
No wonder we’ve all had to tighten our belts, sell off our hospitals and suffer austerity.
Helping out fat bankers doesn’t come cheap.

This is very encouraging, as it shows that the British public do not support the Neo-Lib consensus that has held sway ever since Thatcher became gauleiter of Grossbritannien. I doubt, however, that it will make much impression, as since Bliar, all the parties have been keen to show themselves as the servants of corporate interests, and particularly those of one Rupert Murdoch, than as tribunes of the people. Labour under Miliband is moving away from Neo-Liberalism, and hopefully this should provide further encouragement in this direction.

The electorate voted to reverse Thatcherism by a massive majority, only for the Victory to be snatched away from them by the ‘conservatives’ of New Labour by carrying on with her capitalist policies. No wonder the traditional Labour voters don’t bother turning out to vote anymore.. Biggest laugh is the UK media portray Miliband as leftwing

THE MASSIVE POOR VOTE OUTNUMBERS OTHER VOTERS
The poor in England have the greatest power they have ever had,
as the poor vote, of all ages,
now outnumbers all other voters
in a huge number of Tory and Lib Dem marginals.
England is key as it has the most voters and slimmest majorities of all the nations of UK.
Cornwall even has single figure majorities for Tories and Lib Dems sitting MPs.
NO PARTY WILL WIN THIS YEAR
Labour alone cannot rule, even with the help of the SNP and a few Plaid Cymru of Wales and the 1 Green MP.
TORIES PLANNING TO STAY IN GOVERNMENT EVEN IF LOSE
Right now, the Tories are planning to sit in a caretaker government
in this most severe hung parliament in UK history, for the next 5 years,
even if ministers lose their MP seats on Thursday 7 May.
HOW THIS NIGHTMARE SCENARIO CAN BE PREVENTED?
But a group of parties gathered into at least 323 MPs would give an unassailable and secure and stable government, and bring Labour back towards socialism that it has lost.
LABOUR COULD HELP ITS ALLIES AND SAVE LIVES THIS YEAR
It would be better for Labour to give up wasting time and money on Scotland, when the SNP have said they would ally with Labour in the UK government.
And Labour to focus on England, but not in the way they think.
And the way to do that is, if permitted by the rules, is for Labour
to donate direct to the advertisment ad and media coverage funding
of ally parties
in the Tory and Lib Dem marginals,
and gain the poor vote,
that at the moment is lost to Labour.
Or Labour could strongly encourage all the trade unions to do so.
Now that unions have given Labour money.
For all tradeunions to give other funds to the below parties
in Tory and Lib Dem marginals in England.
Funding advertisement ads on such as
bicycle ads outside Jobcentres and foodbanks and on the high street
To get past the council’s denying democracy
by:
– not permitting leaflet giving under litter laws
or
– allowing electon posters on street furniture,
despite the fact councils do that all the time.
WHO ARE THE REAL SOCIALISTS WHO COULD TURN LABOUR BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL FOUNDERS?
– Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC)
(ex Labour folk anyway left or sacked from Labour for voting against austerity cuts).
TUSC is running 111 candidates and should be getting the same media coverage as all other parties, but is getting nothing. Not even on left leaning blogs.
– Class War
(great for the youth vote, what is left of it)
– Mebyon Kernow of Cornwall
(the best chance as Tory and Lib Dem MP is such severe marginals)
IF LEFT LEANING BLOGS ALL STOPPED TALKING UKIP
UKIP is getting more coverage than any party in history.
If left leaning blogs ignored the tiny 2 or 3 MPs and tried to bring about a socialist addition to bring Labour back to its roots, then starvation would end after
Thursday 7 May.
Will the blogs start to give brand awareness to TUSC / Class War / Mebyon Kernow?
Me little website tries vainly in a small, voter only way, to give such information, against a wall of silence from all around us.

Yes, because taxes have fallen significantly since the pirate privatisations of gas, water, electricity, telecommunications, airline, nuclear power, railways, social housing and the postal service haven’t they? When the NHS gets eviscerated get ready for an immediate abolition of NICs also, or maybe not.

It was people’s apathy that got this coalition in, will it be apathy again?
We need the left leaning parties to join together and pull Milliband back from the right!
People who don’t vote are as bad as the tories as they ignore the chance at doing something – and if they don’t vote then they shouldn’t complain, after all, they get what they are given.
I would have everything nationalised again – we had more work, more skills and more money in the pot. I’d personally just rip up the contracts that have been made with the private companies, and boy, would I enjoy it 🙂

I’m not at all surprised by their poll, because people may sometimes be gullible and susceptible to the malicious rumours and propaganda spread by the evil Murdoch empire, but they are not stupid and they are clever enough to know what makes sense, despite 35+ years of heavy Neoliberal propaganda.

Ed Miliband is a lot more Left Wing than you think but he is caught between a rock and a hard place because if he comes out and firmly says that he would like to end Neo-Liberalism and restore British social democracy then the Capitalist press with do for him what they did to every Labour leader from the late 1970s until the arrival of the Blair-Brown hydra.
Look at the comment below the reblog here and you will see a number of absolutely clear reasons to accept that Ed Miliband is far to the left of both the Conservatives and the Lib-Dems.
