Petitioning for DEATH to reinstate Terry Pratchett:
Change.org: Reinstate Terry Pratchett
Because Terry Pratchett said this:
“There are times in life when people must know when not to let go. Balloons are designed to teach small children this.”
.
Please share. Thanks.

Because Britain today lost one of its greatest and most prolific writers of genre Fantasy. He and his illustrator, Josh Kirby, created wonderful worlds of colour, craziness and wit to enliven the imaginations of children and adults alike. And sometimes, I really do wish the world was disc-shaped, held up by four elephants standing on the back of a giant turtle. Sometime the Copernican solar system just seems a little too utilitarian.
R.I.P. great man. And may he continue to weave his spells over kids’ imaginations.

Very sad. I think his most important legacy was to encourage children to read.

Death always drives a hard bargain, but we could I suppose ask Death for the return of Terry Pratchett’s very valuable woven beard… It could house a family of homeless hamsters for a year…..

Sorry, but while the sentiment is cute this petition seriously disrespects Sir Terry’s concerns outside of literature. He made no secret of his fight against alzheimers and his fears of losing his intellect and becoming a shell of himself. While the world is poorer for his passing and it is right to mourn, we should also be glad that his end possessed the dignity he craved.
“…on the whole, and by and large, if a man lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would , at the end, more or less, turn out all right.” Terry Pratchett, Small Gods
He will be sorely missed…
