(not satire – it’s David Cameron!)
An eye witness has accused David Cameron of “lying” over his statement that two Russian bombers did not enter UK airspace.
According to comments on Facebook as well as on Twitter, Sue Bamford is adamant that she saw the two bombers over St Mawgan in Cornwall:
“Cameron on the news saying the Russian never breached UK airspace – well then, mate, what the hell did Claire and I see tootling down the St Mawgan valley, and over Indian Queens??? Have Easy Jet switched to Bear Bombers? Not over the coast, but over St Eval, flying low and slow.”
And in an interview with local newspaper the Plymouth Herald, Ms Bamber directly accuses Cameron of lying:
“It is bizarre to hear the government publicly denying something that I witnessed with my very own eyes. I know David Cameron is lying. I saw the Russian bombers not only on UK airspace – but flying in-land. They were flying really low through the St Mawgan valley and around Cornwall. I am angry the government is denying this. I saw the damn things myself. I am not an imaginative person in that way. I know what I saw – and I saw the Russian bombers flying over UK soil.”
Of course, I’m sure Cameron’s desperate attempt to downplay a serious breach of UK defences by Russian military aircraft is nothing to do with the fact that pro-Putin Russians are bankrolling his party:
How Russians are bankrolling the Tory Party (but don’t tell MI5!)
Tories desperately try to hide their close links to Putin and his United Russia Party
He’s a Russian spy with his ‘good friend’ Boris Johnson
.
Anyway, here’s a handy guide to help you spot any Russian military planes you might come across in UK skies:
Please feel free to comment. And share. Thanks:

If he is downplaying it’s nothing to with rich Russians in London. That’s just daft. If he is its embarrassment that our airspace was entered by 50 year old aircraft . If it happened it is extremely worrying. But did I it?

This Russian air defense testing is a regular occurrence that never ended with the end of the cold war. Britain’s support for reckless American and European actions in Ukraine (which Russia has a very good claim to anyway) are putting us in jeopardy of the sort of dangers that darkened our horizons for so many years in the past.

This report by so called “eye witnesses” is total B.S…… it’s propaganda for the masses?…… has nobody ever heard of “reverse psychology”?…. the government know the majority of the people don’t believe a word said by the MSM!……. so they find a very handy “eye witness” to something that they deny, knowing the majority will think that if the government is denying it!… it must be true!………WRONG!…. it’s B.S.

For good comments on this, look at the remarks of Patricknelson750, who points out that the Russians continued testing our air defences even after the end of the Cold War; and Clive Radley. Radley believes that Cameron’s hushing the whole thing up because he’s embarrassed that a fifty year old aircraft can successfully penetrate British airspace. I don’t doubt that he’s right. Cameron has been making massive cuts to the British armed forces, all the while claiming that this just makes them more effective and efficient. This would prove quite spectacularly that he’s wrong.
Of course, it’s possible that the plane was allowed into British airspace to scare people and provide further public support for intervention, but I doubt the government would go that far, and Cameron wouldn’t then be denying it happened if it did.

Ms Bamber is certainly not an imaginative person.
Incidentally, although your assertion that the Tories get funded by Russian oligarchs may be true, that would not stop them warmongering against Russia, since the amount is dwarfed by arms companies, banks and hedge funds who stand to gain from war and insecurity. The oligarchs themselves might be Russian but they spend most of their time elsewhere and like most parasitic elites have no empathy or affinity with the Russian people. I’m surprised at this blog taking such a corporate media, establishment line as this. You do realize that what is happening in the Ukraine is that the undemocratic government is attacking Russian speaking citizens in the East for wishing to be separate from this young, artificial country so that their homes and land aren’t stolen and polluted by frackers, their agriculture and food supply destroyed by the GM business and their language and culture suppressed, not to mention the imposition of IMF austerity on an already poor people. Of course they are going to fight that and we should be supporting them against the terror of corporate fascism.

Don’t believe anybody who states that Russian Bear bombers have never penetrated UK soverign airspace. The UK government knows this for a fact, two occasions being in July 1993 and July 1994 #THETRUTH

Yes! Cameron is lying. I know from past experience that the Russian airforce DO NOT fly dummy runs – they are always tactically ready…….There must needs have been some agreement for this event to take place: otherwise they would have been challenged – so Cameron must have know since his is the power to challenge or not to challenge. He is not only a psychopath in denial:he is also guilty of not holding our ‘best’ interests as important and not protecting our borders………VOTE LABOR.

Summerhead seems to have the best grasp on the reality of Ukraine. The US sniping from across the pond do not give a damn if we have another conventional war in Europe. There is an arms surplus that needs using to boost US economy then a settlement will be worked out. Do not hold your breath folks. This has all been about testing NATO response, at the moment they are like rabbits in headlights. The nuclear threat has them shitting themselves.

yes but another eye witness didn’t see anything so now what do we do ????????
Really though ,it was business as usual for all concerned they have been playing alert scramble for the past 20 yrs ,as for testing NATO, ,well I think more a case of playing with the Cons here as they know UK has an excellent airforce, but a shit government of toss pots who couldn’t make a military decision if a Russian in a microlight actually did invade us.and left to these idiots we would be singing ‘rule russoski’ by dinner…in which I am in two minds if that’s a good thing or a bad one thanks to the same said toss pots.
Wait …did you hear a…….bomber eek >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

@summerhead – Arms companies and the like benefit from scrub wars in undeveloped countries which have no real ability to fight back. War against Russia is a totally different matter – a cursory glance at history shows that large scale conflicts involving world powers have a tendency to destabilize and reduce the power of established heirarchies. The 7 years war indirectly lead to both the American and French Revolutions. The 1st World War saw the spread of communism, the disintegration of the British Empire, and the rise of fascism. The 2nd World War finished the dissolution of Empire, established the cold war, the creation of Israel and here in the UK allowed the NHS to be born

So a huge military aircraft that is actually the noisiest ever produced – noisy to the point of absurdity – flew low and slow over Cornwall and was only noticed by one woman and her driving instructor? If a TU95 really flew low and slow over any part of the UK, Youtube would be full of videos of the event because people would run out of their houses going WTF is that racket!

The bombers flew over St Eval. Photos were uploaded to face book but hurriedly taken down. People there asked not to mention the incursion. Putin will buzz a populated area if he isn’t given a hard enough slap though I’m expecting the “peace process” to drag on a while before the west shows it is as willing to fight as the Russians appear to be. Putin is a crafty liar and expert at brinkmanship, nothing short of shooting the next plane down will stop this sort of behaviour.

Saw the Bomber at 1050 heading WSW across Newquay. Escorted by 2 typhoons at a height of approx 18000 feet. Russians laughing at Cameron and practicing an old bombing run that takes in Plymouth, St. Eval (communications masts) and Newquay airport( formerly RAF St. Mawgan). Cameron and MOD lying. Got more witnesses to verify.
