(not satire – it’s Rupert Murdoch!)
The Times, Sun and Sky owner Rupert Murdoch’s US TV channel Fox has controversially decided to help Islamic State’s media campaign of terror by making the horrific video of Jordanian pilot Muadh al-Kasasbeh’s brutal murder available for its viewers to download in full:
Fox News site shows brutal murder of Jordanian pilot
This despite Fox censoring advertisements which show female models who – in the bizarre world of fashion at least – are considered to be ‘plus-size’:
Lane Bryant’s curvy models censored?
Which for me perfectly sums up Murdoch’s set of perverse values and twisted priorities.

Finding myself in default of a reasonable response to Richard Murdoch & his evil empire Fox News.

Perhaps this is a change in strategy for Fox News and Murdoch’s News Corp? Normally, they prefer to ‘get-into-bed’ with brutal murderers; now they wish to ’embed’ the murder on their website.

War kills, whether you die trapped in a small tanker of high octane aviation spirit or trapped in a small cage with a gallon or two of 2* spread over you. Tough, as the saying goes, shit. This is war, after all. Shall we now all bow or heads in remembrance of fucking Dresden?

This shows the twisted values of Murdoch’s news empire, where gory videos of the brutal murder of servicemen is entirely acceptable, but beautiful women, who don’t conform to what fashion considers the ideal body shape, aren’t.
It hasn’t only been members of the public, who were concerned about Murdoch’s almost pornographic fascination with the atrocities committed by ISIS, al-Qaeda and the Taliban. During Brown’s tenure of No. 10, Murdoch deliberately ran stories about the victories of the Islamists in the Middle East as part of a deliberate campaign to discredit Labour. This in turn attracted criticism from the top brass of the army, who held a meeting with Murdoch’s journalists in an effort to get them to stop. The reason? The Taliban were using these stories as propaganda in Afghanistan. Murdoch’s papers claim very, very loudly that they are super-patriotic, heartily supporting the nations they’re published in. They’re anything but. They’re partisan rags, that cynically use their readers’ natural and naïve patriotism to sell themselves and the extreme Right-wing views of their despicable owner.

He’s always been a sleazeball – I often wonder if IDS is his son as the pleasure that they both gain from their obsession with evil and death.
Murdoch will be dead soon, it’s a wonder he’s lasted this long, but I do hope that he suffers a painful death for all the criminal things he has done and is behind.

I wonder if some people’s perceptions would change if there was a graphic video of every innocent man, woman and child who was burned alive or buried alive by our air strikes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
