(not satire – it’s the UKIP!)
The sexual harassment accusations made by UKIP’s star candidate Natasha Bolter against UKIP’s general secretary Roger Bird must be really serious.
Because – like some Soviet era attempt to wipe a disgraced leader from history – UKIP have completely deleted Bird’s profile and photographs from its website as if he never existed.
Here’s UKIP’s website from yesterday:
And here’s the same web page from today:
.
Looks like the Bird’s been well and truly flipped.

This is indeed very Stalinist, with Roger Bird being airbrushed out of UKIP history, like Trotsky from official Soviet history during the Stalin era. Stalin, before he murdered former favourite politicians and apparatchiks, used to put them in charge of the Moscow waterworks. So, if it turns out later that Mr Bird has now found a job with a sewage works, it’ll be clear what’s going to come next. In the meantime, he should avoid going to Mexico and meeting people with ice picks.

I don’t see what the problem is. Bird is no longer the General Secretary and it was therefore right to change the web page.
If this is the only recent thing you can think of to criticise UKIP about then you’re spectacularly missing the point!

To be fair (and I hate saying that about any political party) if they had left him on the page the story would be about how the investigation outcome is predetermined and he’s coming back soon.
“Website owners remove officer from pages during serious misconduct investigation” isn’t censorship or rewriting history.

Just goes to show……you can take the man out of the Tory party, but you can’t take the Tory party out of the man.
