(not satire – it’s the UK today)
Survivors of institutional child abuse have written an extraordinary letter to the Home Secretary Theresa May telling her the government’s official inquiry is “not fit for purpose” and they will no longer cooperate with it.
In the unprecedented letter, child abuse survivors and professionals accuse Theresa May’s Home Office of “obfuscation“, “lack of transparency” and “manipulations“:
Rt Hon Theresa May MP, Home Secretary, 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF
Dear Theresa May
As survivors and associated professionals, we were very much hoping to take up the invitations to engage with your Ministerial Officers to discuss the Child Sex Abuse Inquiry but we regret to say we have to decline. We, alongside many survivors, have made numerous representations to you regarding our view that the Inquiry as it stands is not fit for purpose. Its Terms of Reference (ToR) are inadequate for delivering the original declared intentions of the inquiry, namely to investigate government and establishment cover ups of paedophiles in their ranks and aiding bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Secondly, both your appointees to Head the Inquiry Panel have had to be forced out by survivors because of obvious conflicts of interest, and you have failed to address similar issues regarding other Panel appointees.
Thirdly, that the cut-off date for the Inquiry investigations was set at 1970 is highly disturbing given that the 1969 Children’s Act transferred Home Office run youth establishments, from which thousands of abuse allegations eventually emerged. It highlights the lack of transparency regarding the Home Office’s dealings with the Inquiry, not to mention the apparent obfuscations and manipulations in the defence of the appointment of Fiona Woolf. As a result, the Home Office seems to be running the Inquiry to meet others’ needs rather than those of survivors and the public.
We therefore have little option but to end engagement with the Inquiry and call on other survivors, whistleblowers, associated professionals and agencies to follow suit until, as Home Secretary, you:
• announce the scrapping of the current panel and its replacement on a transparent basis
• declare a statutory inquiry
• announce that the TOR will focus on: 1) Organised & Institutional Abuse – hearing evidence from survivors of such abuse 2) Extending the cut-off date to 1945 and linking with Inquiries in other parts of the UK 3) Setting up a dedicated police team at the National Crime Agency to take evidence alongside the inquiry to investigate and prosecute offenders 4) Holding those that have failed in their professional duty or covered up allegations or been obstructive to account.
Yours faithfully

There used to be a joke on ‘Yes, Minister’, that when the government wanted to be seen to be doing something about a problem, while doing absolutely nothing at all, they’d call a public inquiry. In this case, it’s the truth. And this isn’t a matter of wry humour, but absolute disgust. May here seems far more concerned to protect the guilty, and the lives and reputation of highly placed and influential men, than give justice to the victims of such abuse. As it stands, the inquiry is a grudging, token concession to those who suffered the abuse, and as the criticism over the cut-off date for the inquiry shows, it is still trying to deny there is a problem. It’s high time the present panel were dismissed, and all of the victims’ recommendations implemented in full.

The first 2 chair appointments were quite obviously going to be unsuitable given their links to people who are or were historically involved. I believe this was not only known by Theresa May etc but was a deliberate ploy to delay the investigation, which should have started 6 months ago, so that no names should come out until after the General Election. It is time now that those who are accused by survivors were questioned directly by the police and that the panel are kept informed of who is being questioned. The names will include both living and deceased from Royalty, Parliament and Whitehall among others. Yes, it will rock the establishment but yes, it must be done and soon.

I can only say how dreadful this whole exercise seems to be. The survivors have spent so many years waiting for some kind of closure and are being insulted by this government’s obfuscation, for what seems to be nefarious reasons. I cannot imagine the horrors of this kind of abuse and my heart goes out to them all. Children are precious and vulnerable. We must protect them as the highest priority. These people have been failed and must feel unloved and of little consequence to those who have power over them….and us. I am frustrated as to what I can do but want to say this is NOT IN MY NAME

Yeah I signed it Tom as the historic CSA sham enquiry was rigged from day one that was obvious , Now i see on Sky Teresa May saying she is going to carry on with the enquiry ” with or without” the group, proving that Teresa May is totally stupid or thinks that survivors input is worthless begging the question on whose behalf is this enquiry for then ?

one tiny gripe at the moment but some of us are wondering why gojam on needleblog has decided to be rather snarky to us ” dissenters ” on that list, even disparaging to Dr Liz Davies too , which has appalled a lot of people as Dr Davies is highly respected , so whats he up to, he has lost a lot of supporters the way he has been carrying on now

Apart from ” Woolfie” and “Slosspot” there are others on that panel who are totally dodgy
1 Barbara Hearn from NCB the outfir that convicted paedo Peter Righton worked for and Hean herself who tried to cover up Islington abuse cases
Then Sharon Evans who keeps changing her name and profession tv presenter/ newsreader/ journalist
And her charity or is it a business and then she tells us the reason she set it up was because of her grandpa abusing her when she was a child , then she says it was because of a car accident ending her tv career , then she says her grandpa was part of a paedo ring after saying it was just him , and lets not forget her ex copper husband and her saying her business or charity has worked with ACPO like thats a good idea

http://www.truthtrustconsent.com/ i implore any victim of CSA/CA to thoroughly study the work of dr bob johnson…public inquires into CSA/CA will NOT bring healing to victims…although i agree people who abuse others should be prevented access to children and others so as to be cured of their psychotic behaviours…

The establishment investigating the establishment? — That was never going to work. It’s like the police investigating the police, or the government investigating the government. The Home Office Child Abuse Enquiry was set up to fail, just like the 9/11 Commission was set up to fail, so the poor victims of political paedophiles may wait a long time for their justice.

exactly, and most people are clueless, the only justice is healing from CSA/CA and too heal one must relive the abuse(s), to gain the product of being healed this process must be gone through…confronting the abuser is useless, terrifying, and totally unnecessary in this regard, especially in the early stages of this grueling process, as the triggering of meeting/confronting the abusers, shuts one up…bob and sue johnson seek consent to ‘squeeze’ the victim, ie permission to trigger the victim to see where the jaw dropping moment occurs and then to find the cause of this anxiety and invite the victim to express the causal feeling of it, once this is is done the fear of death anxiety evapourates….they don’t say to the victim prove to us you were abused, tell us your story, and we’ll see if we believe you…if one asks them ‘do you believe me’, they will say what one is already plainly is aware of, ‘you wouldn’t be here seeking to help yourself, unless you didn’t know that you were’….they don’t say ‘we won’t treat you unless you can prove need’…
the power of the abuse(s) and abuser(s) evaporates, as one boots out the mind numbing/stammering/gumming, toxic septic puss crap from ones head of the suffered emotional injuries…and then the victim needs not the protection of and/or from others coz they are free to think clearly for themselves and therefore protect themselves…the idea is to have no need of emotional support from/of others…one’s knows what one wants, and who to invite into one’s life….
simply passively telling the story is disempowering…sure it can be done once one has truly survived…it’s not the story, but how it actually felt @ the time of emotionally injuring abuse events…the emotional force release, that must come out and often gushes out, the liberation of trapped frozen emotions…part of the process can be writing to the abusers and telling them plainly what they did to one and how it was wrong, this is empowering for the victim, when the victim feels the time is right… imagine, the practicality of getting the abusers to sit down and listen for hours on end to the catalog of abuses they did to one, and prey tell me what i wished to resolve by doing that?? reconciliation with someone one does not need and who is provably unreliable….that’s the victim paying homage to the abusers and doing all of the work for them, their apology is nothing to me…back to letter; but don’t expect a sincere apology from them, it will rarely happen or even to get a reply…it’s up to the abusers to face up to what they did, not the victims to try to force them to, by doing so all one is doing is giving the abusers the power that they crave…don’t hold your breath, dump them, get on with life and try to help others to recover if one wants to…the abusers also have to go through the grueling healing process, as i have 1st, their choice, that’s their problem, not mine…
abusers love nothing more than having their victims dangling on a piece of string @ their beckon call!!!

overburdenddonkey: Well done, mate, you have given us all some well-argued excellent material to chew on, re: the effective healing of sexual abuse…. I think you are along the right lines….. It is notable that oftentimes the horrid abusers get away with being brought to court for a long long time, and even if they ARE brought into court they deny everything, because they are such sneaky cowards and bullies, and even if they DO get convicted and jailed — like that piece of scum in the news this past week, Miles Bradbury, convicted of abusing sexually hundreds of young cancer sufferers in his professional care — or that other piece of scum John Allen, of the North Wales paedo-ring, who committed his abuses up to 40 years ago — they STILL DAMN WELL deny everything, and probably will go to their graves denying everything –; so, as you say, the young people abused must break free from all the emotional trauma their abuser has caused them, and they must never seek solace merely in getting their abuser into court and convicted and jailed, because the terrible emotional wounds are not healed by that kind of vengeful vindictive wishful mthinking.

yes, denial is rife…..all emotional injuries can be 100% cured…thanks for curing me bob and sue johnson, don’t need you no more, get lost, and don’t need therapist or armies of the others (helpers) no more, you can get lost as well….
see work of moncrieff, miller, whitaker, rowe, read all of bob’s work they are amazing people…no one is born evil but turned evil by abusers…we are all born lovable sociable and non-violent…tell those who rank degrees of suffering by histories to get tae fuck…no one needs personal history to cure one…turn up be seen, be squeezed, jaw drops ahha! there it is, do homework then DIY job gets done…but clinic now shut coz of lack of cultural support…hope not lost, it’s all in bob’s work…do work in private or with very trusted comrades, where there’s a will there is a way….shout @ figment of abusers in chair tell them ie bad parents, you were useless tossers. abusers or what ever, tell them to get lost you don’t need them any more and MEAN IT…the hardest thing to do is to say it and mean it, when you do mean it the fear of death anxiety is gone/evapourated, the box has been approached and is now seen to be m/t…do the same with all anxieties that YOU know you should not have, YOU KNOW, and the likes of experts as sue, bob and very few others, who can be non professionals, but are seen by the victim as being fully trustworthy…the idea is to REdiscover, REcover, your true self….the once lost but now found self…
see ‘goodbye mr tom’…
it’s healing hands of kindness, intent, love, empathy, and compassion all in one…
we all know truth when we hear it…TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS…these are what recovery means fully believing, your own feelings and recover self-esteem…

Obfuscations and manipulations is text book behavior of sex offenders, John Harbord Hamond claims to have had endless communication via his lawyers re his theft, in fact all they did was write endless confusing and irrelevant letters about agricultural relief as if that was some excuse for tranfering my property to Charles at One Pound per square foot when the market was trading at Ninety pounds per square foot.
George Orwell was right about these people in his book ‘Why I write’. Aristocrats detached from reality.
