(not satire – it’s Tesco!)
A Tesco store in Wales has started offering ‘free erections” (codiad am ddim) to its Welsh speaking customers:
The word ‘codiad‘ means ‘erection‘ in colloquial Welsh.
If this is an example of just how desperate Tesco are getting to attract new customers, I couldn’t blame them.
Because they need to do something dramatic to get people buying their over-priced, unhealthy, exploitative crap again.
.
Thanks to Aberystwyth councillor Ceredig Davies for spotting this.

Perhaps they’re following in the ‘footsteps’ of Dylan Thomas. It is, alleged, that he was sometimes in favour of ‘free erections’.

It could, of course, bring a whole new meaning to “Under Milkwood”. What a filthy thought!

Tesco should be prosecuted under the PENAL code.
They should also be prosecuted under Public Decency laws for offering a MOBILE TOP UP!
They should be PENALISED heavily for this.
PENULTIMATELY their PENURIOUS ways have PROMULGATED, PENDULOUS, PENCHANTS of PURILE PONTIFICATION.
Perhaps I am just being too PERSNICKETY.

Offering the same ‘free erection’ service to the Serious Fraud Office (which is now investigating Tesco) isn’t likely to help.
What Tesco really needs is a Prime Minister who doesn’t give a damn about legality or morality, and will force the SFO drop their fraud inquiry (as with the BAE/Saudi bribery case) but unfortunately for them Tony Blair isn’t in office any more. He’s too busing raking off the money from the deals he set up whilst he was Prime Minister.
