(not satire – it’s the UK today!)
The only official protest about the democracy demonstrations taking place in China at the moment has come from Deputy PM Nick Clegg.
Not a peep from Cameron or Osborne.
Could this be connected to the fact that Cameron and Osborne have been selling off our essential infrastructure to the Chinese, who now own large parts of our water, electricity and gas supplies?
In December last year Cameron went to China, to persuade the Chinese government to buy up invest in Britain.
Chinese organisations and businesses with close links to the Chinese Communist leadership have already large stakes and controlling interests in huge parts of UK essential infrastructure such as water, gas, electricity, telecommunications and transport.
George Osborne on a visit to Xhina in 2012, persuaded the Chinese government to buy a stake in the UK’s biggest water and sewage company, Thames Water, which serves about 14 million customers. Osborne himself said he hoped this was just the beginning of Chinese investment in UK infrastructure.
Speaking about the deal, Osborne said:
“This is a significant step by China. This investment is good news for both the British and Chinese economies.”
Chinese companies already own large and growing stakes in UK power companies and already control Northumberland Water.
The Chinese also control UK telecommunications networks such as 3UK and other telecommunications companies.
Osborne returned to China in October last year and announced a new visa system which allows rich Chinese to automatically come to the UK so the Chinese can buy up even more of our infrastructure.
Perhaps you’re comfortable with the Chinese controlling your water and power supplies and being in charge of your communication services.
But if so many people are concerned about the loss of UK sovereignty to the EU – shouldn’t we be having a referendum on the loss of our sovereignty to the Chinese too?

Wow Tom, that’s a totally astounding bit of ‘journalism’! China has got loads of money and resources (and few scruples about how they’re used) and everybody wants a piece of cheap action. Who would have guessed it?
The real question is what do you think we should do about it? A referendum… are you serious??? I’ll take you seriously if you attempt an answer of your own just once in a while.

Isn’t that so revealing?… You think the recent Scottish referendum would have been a loss of sovereignty to YOU, Mr. Insular Englishman!

Interesting. BBC telling us of the “news blackout” on the “Hong Kong democracy protestors” whilst having failed to cover or in some cases only managed two sentences tucked away in the depths of their website on: Monsanto protest march in London, Austerity protest in London, anti BBC bias protests x 4 directly outside their Glasgow office, pro Palestinian protest march in Glasgow, mass rallies on the streets of every city and large town in Scotland in favour of Independence, Orange march in favour of the union in Edinburgh (too embarrassing) and to cap it all a small number of pro independence supporters were attacked by a large mob of unionists in George Square Glasgow, many were injured and mounted police came to protect them while they left the area, after this there was rioting by the unionists who had arrived with Orange Order banners (VERY provocative) and weapons including knives, screwdrivers and hammers which were used on anyone who came near. There were 20 arrests and still many more to come. How did BBC report this? “YES and NO supporters were kept apart by police in George Square today”. Whatever you do, turn off the BBC and get your news elsewhere, they’re not incompetent, they’re the state broadcaster broadcasting what the state wants you to think.

This explains then why, when I turn on the hot water tap, the water comes out all bright yellow with bits of rice in it? ):

Its’ interesting how Radio 4 seemed to be castigating China for blocking news of the protests in Hong Kong from reaching the mainland.
It’s interesting because the BBC itself ignored protests in London against government cuts that involved around 100,000 people – and that started almost literally almost on the BBC’s own doorstep
And yet there was nothing for days, then a brief token mention, then nothing again.
The sad thing was that the same picture seemed to repeat across much of the British media.
And people here have the unmitigated gall to criticise China?

the uk is more like a communist state
the word communist is now banned however and as both china and the uk think on the same lines and have the same goals i can see that china will soon be known as a conservative country so it falls into line with the west before overtaking it and ruling it all be it from a distance
