(not satire – it’s David Cameron!)
David Cameron is facing a rebellion from within his own party if Scotland votes YES to independence on Thursday.
But Cameron is also facing open rebellion from within his own party if Scots vote NO too.
Backbench Tory MPs are livid after Cameron – panicking as polls started to show there was a good chance YES could win – agreed with other UK party leaders to offer more powers to Scotland if Scots vote NO to independence.
Tory rebels usually prefer to stay anonymous until forced to show their hand against their leader.
Not this time. This is an open rebellion against Cameron:
.
Only a leader as incompetent as Cameron could find himself facing rebellion in the event of both a YES and a NO vote on Thursday.

Cameron is finished whether it’s Yes or No, because he allowed this to go to the wire. Clegg was finished anyway. Miliband has failed to do anything about anything, least of all this referendum, so he’s an irrelevance.
Scotland will go it’s own way sooner or later. Labour in England is sinking under the toxic legacy of the Blair era crimes. The actual question is whether the imminent future of English politics lies with the leadership of Farage or Johnson.

Not least because I’m bored of the same old accusations month after month – as I’m sure a lot of other people who read these silly comments are too.

Ms Fawkes – From what you wrote on that other site, you seem to think the people of Scotland should vote “Yes”. Is that correct, and if so, what would you say are the most important reasons for doing so? Please try to answer without scatological insults this time……

No, I don’t mean Darwinian evolution, that’s an inevitable process, so it makes no difference what you or I think about it.
I mean evolution of society. Populations move their centre quite slowly. I don’t really understand why, but Scotland definitely has a different politics and mentality from England. I moved here from England 10 years ago and I can see the difference very clearly. The divergence from England has been happening over many decades, and this referendum may be a step in that process, but we will only find out on Friday! That isn’t so important, because the evolution towards devolution and away from centralised and controlled societies is happening here and across the world.

Come on OBD! – It’s perfectly obvious that all the Unionist parties have made contingency plans to try to legally overturn a Yes vote if it happens. Equally, the SNP has made plans to try to legally overturn a No vote.
Do you seriously find any of that surprising? Did you believe the politicians when they said they would abide by the decision of the referendum? They will only do so if they have no reasonable prospect of doing otherwise!

I love the bit at 8:20 on this video where Russell calls Cameron out on his ominous “latest threats” line, by having Cameron say: “….We’ve spoken to ISIS and they say that if Scotland votes for independence they’re going to go up there and lop heads off bloody left and right…….” Because of course it is CAMERON who is using ISIS as a threat tactic here, not ISIS who are threatening Scotland or the Scots….. Russell Brand really nails this politician down solid.

Yes, you are right. My uncle is Welsh and he lived and fought through the war. He does not want anything to do with Westminster. He votes for an independent Wales. I understand why as much as I understand why the Scots would want their independence. Smaller societies are what are needed. it is an on going evolution towards as you put it devolution. We have indigenous populations through out the world standing up for their rights and fighting rapacious corporations.I support them.It is the only way forward. You could read Open Veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano. It is an upsetting book. Try The wretched of the Earth by Fratz Fanon. In the meantime back to ‘evolution’…inner work is what is required to make way for a better world. Outer changes are just that ‘outer changes’ We have lost the ‘spirit’ in the West. Consumerism is our ‘religion’ This has to change or we will continue to have more mental health problems. So smaller communities are a must…..we need to look after each other where possible. End of lecture! Goodnight FF 🙂
