(not satire – it’s the UK today)
According to the UK government’s own web page – the fine for employing an illegal migrant worker is £20,000.
Tory minister Mark Harper employed a cleaner – Isabella Acevedo – who was dragged from her daughter’s wedding ceremony and deported last week when it was revealed she had embarrassed Harper by not having all her valid documents.
For some unexplained reason, however, Harper himself – who was recently given a new ministerial job by Cameron – has not been fined £20,000.
An employer won’t have to pay the fine if he or she can show a valid reason for employing an illegal migrant worker – however being unaware of the fact is not considered to be a valid reason.
So what exactly is Harper’s “valid reason” for not being fined?
That he’s a government minister and a good friend of Cameron?
.
Of course – irony of ironies – it was Harper himself who as immigration minister introduced the fine for employing illegal migrant workers.

It was Harper who steered the immigration bill through parliament which set the fine at £20,000. Beyond parody or satire…

Harper’s “valid reason” is, of course, that all humankind exists to serve him and his like. Any and every way of boosting their financial coffers – whether by employing slave labour or, as in the case of Maria Miller, fraudulently claiming tens of thousands for second home expenses, and obtaining a plush pad which afforded her even more dosh – being required only to repay 5k I believe, is par for the course and the perceived right of these criminal bloodsuckers!

Lets be reasonable about this, he may have been saving the tax payer by not claiming it on expences

A politician not claiming something on expenses? Pull the other one.
As politicians pass laws and bring about guidelines, it has always been the case that one law for them and one law for us. The elite have ever been thus.
All MPs get an 11 per cent pay rise in 2015, when this extra money is about the same amount as the lost state pension since 2013 at 60 to women and men at 65. Worse is to come with the Flat Rate Pension in 2016 for all women born since 1953 and all men born since 1951, when a great many women, and a lot of men, will be left with no money in old age forever:
https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/state-pension-at-60-now
Pensioners are not the well off people portrayed. Most are within the working poor, suffering all the same benefit sanctions / losses of all ages, liable for the Bedroom Tax by raised retirement age, and many just on state pension and so barely able to heat and eat.
As it is foreign news services that have reported that starvation has risen around 70 per cent since 2010 for all ages, when politicians’ expenses have risen for the 650 mostly wealthy male MPs to around 100 million pounds a year (2013 figures), never mind their wages and income from directorships.

why do these things go unchallenged (and the core problem with WM is it cannot be challenged) and why do we see ourselves as impotent or perhaps better to ask why are we impotent?…

Mark ‘cunt’ Harper is my MP. He takes great pleasure from watching disabled people lose their benefits, unemployed people losing their homes and is not at all bothered that social services support for vulnerable people has all but disappeared. He is a smug individual who totally supports Iain Duncan Shit and his marvellous reforms.
he was also the Minister who had responsibility for the ‘selling our forests’ farce some years ago. He attended a meeting with local people who were very angry. Before exiting the meeting in haste in the back of a police van he informed all those in attendance who did have access to a computer that he would post details on the ‘forest sale’ on his website. Laugh … we nearly cried!!!!The very next day his website disappeared
A nasty, lying, cheating piece of scum

Harper only wants his own way, is not interested in alternative views and is undoubtedly a Cameron lacky

Somebody should put up a petition to make him pay – but he wouldn’t anyway!
I find it disgusting that he is not paying the fine, he should be made to by Cameron and Co.
As for that policeman in the film, taking away his ‘phone – he is a bully and needs to be taken to task. Personally, I’d have slapped the bugger round the face! What an angry b&stard he is, and he knew damn well that the law was on the side of the person with the camera/’phone.
