(not satire – it’s the Tories!)
The Tory candidate for the Newark by-election Robert Jenrick describes himself as “the son of a secretary and a small businessman”.
But for some strange reason, nowhere does he mention he’s also a Director of Christie’s auction house.
Perhaps he’s trying to present himself as a man of the people.
Which is probably why he also doesn’t mention his home.
Well, one of Jenrick’s homes to be exact – he also owns two houses in London – but the most impressive in his personal collection of expensive houses is his country home called Eye Manor which he bought in 2009.
Eye Manor is in Herefordshire (not in Nottinghamshire where Newark is situated) and was listed for sale at a reasonable £1.3 million.
Reasonable I say because it really is very, very nice indeed:
.
Not exactly a man of the people then?

There’s just far too many of his type already, half a story Johnnies, spinners, manipulators of the truth, though he’d fit right in with minimal training, he’d make a smashing politician. Not.

Newark is a safe Tory seat ( Tory majority 16,000) so it is only fitting that it is contested by a Tory with a nice country seat in the country…..

So the berk claims his father was “a small businessman”…
Just how short was his father?
Was Jentrick angling for votes from dwarves and hobbits?

Isn’t it terrible to think that someone who has been successful in life would want to go and do something civic minded like become a public servant?
How do you propose he presents his property wealth to the people of Newark? Perhaps alongside the text “I’m considerably richer than yow”. Whenever I meet someone for the first time, I always want to know how big their house is, what car they drive, the size of their cock etc. so I suppose we should all go around with those pieces of information tattoed on our foreheads so we can start judging everyone before they have had the chance to actually say anything.
But then again, don’t let someone’s background (he went to school in Wolverhampton, so obviously must be a total posho) and circumstances get in the way of the their ability and what they can offer (1st Class Degree in History from Oxford).
You’re all right, politics of envy is the way forward comrades!

It does actually mention Christie’s, but what I can’t find ANYWHERE is 1. the names of his parents? 2. Where he was actually born?
These facts are not on his ‘profile’ or his Conservative party page.

Now that depends, he has 2 £2 million homes in London and he’s stated he may sell if he’s elected? Why not just ‘flip’ like the rest?
