(not satire – it’s the Tories!)
Tory MP for Bristol North West Charlotte Leslie took cash from the owner of a private company and then raised several questions in parliament on a matter of concern to him.
Leslie is now being investigated by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards over the donations.
Here’s the full story from the Bristol Post:
Bristol MP Charlotte Leslie faces investigation over donations
Last year the right-wing Spectator magazine named Leslie ‘Backbencher of the Year‘ in recognition of her parliamentary work on accountability and whistleblowing in the NHS.
Never mind the NHS. With MPs like Leslie, looks like it’s the House of Commons that needs more accountability and whistleblowing.

Tories will take cash for anything; I wonder we still care about these scandals, they don’t! She probably won’t even resign.

Resign? Surely not.
Perhaps a promotion to the cabinet where all the other criminals live.
After all she got caught.
Isn’t that like a badge of honor among the Tories?
