A just-released statement from Jeremy Clarkson:

“I want to state very clearly that I absolutely did NOT say the word I didn’t say.
In fact I deliberately made sure I repeatedly didn’t say the word I didn’t say until I was absolutely sure I hadn’t said it.
I can say with absolute certainty that the word I wasn’t supposed to say was NOT at any time said by me during the time I was not repeatedly saying it.
And if anyone who says the word I didn’t say was said by me listens carefully to the video of me not saying the word I wasn’t supposed to say, they will very clearly hear me repeatedly not saying the word I didn’t say until I was sure I hadn’t said the word.
Which was a word not said by me and which I clearly didn’t say.
I hope this statement clears up any confusion.

He likes Cameron, doesn’t he? Cameron was a close associate of Patrick Rock, the guy he made his personal anti-kiddie-porn tsar? Rock hadn’t been in the job five minutes but he was arrested on suspicion of kiddie-porn offences. Funny lot, those who think they are fit for anything.

Isn’t it all a matter of context and inference, he may not have said it, but might have inferred it. Otherwise why is he having to apologise for it?

This is completely pointless… mountains and molehills don’t come close. Clarkson is an overgrown kid, and he’s paid to appeal to an audience of overgrown kids. If you want to snigger about the words he uses (or pretends not to use) than you are no more adult than he is.
Don’t you have anything more important to talk about?

i am not a fan of clarkson and I’m sure those that work with him would not work with him if he was a bigot
only those close to him would know if he was likely to use that word having said that he needs to remember that if he courts any further controversy he will be sacked

Sorry this is a reply to FinkFurst. I am gobsmacked to hear that Top Gear makes “a “substantial profit” for the BBC. What does the BBC do with this substantial profit? I would love to hear that it is being used to repay the deficit, and a few more racist, sexist and misanthropic rants from Clarkson will provide the final solution to this county’s economic problems.
If not, can I have my licence money back?

Jeremy Clarkson’s long-suffering wife Frances has filed for a divorce now, to compound Clarkson’s current troubles… This surely proves that not having said something which someone THINKS you might have said can get you into a whole boiling potful of bother 🙂
