This is because Clark – and presumably all the rest of his colleagues in the UKIP – believe that:

Why are British political extremists so profoundly dumb?
The EDL, for example, seems to be almost entirely illiterate (hell, even their tattoos are misspelled), while UKIP’s policies are so simplistic they’re positively simple-minded, displaying all the intellectual rigour of a bed of mussels.
And those extremists who have made it to power – Cameron, IDS, Osborne, McVey, Miller, Hunt, Grayling, et al, are less than shining examples of the British elite educational system. Even en mass they are dimmer than a 20-Watt bulb.
Which, of course, is a large part of what makes them all so dangerous, as Clegg found out to his cost – it’s very hard to argue against such rock-solid anti-intellectualism. And it’s something which, sadly, appeals to a large part of the electorate. You only have to read the comment pages at the Mail, the Torygraph, the Express, even the Indie these days, to see that.

Another example of the knee-jerk Right-wing rejection of Climate Change by UKIP. What is frightening about this is that it’s done by their spokesman on education, who wants to put this attitude in place in schools.

Dunno why is Clegg so dumb perhaps you could regale us with your reasons for believing he is a superior intellect, given that he was the one who was trying to shout down garage in the debate, not the other way round, he didn’t want us to be able to hear the truth, but Farage was quite happy to sit back and let this intellectual giant hang himself with his own petard as he gaily went about his racist ideation that we British are incapable of running our own nation and that we have to have an unelected committee, of failed politicians to do it for us, not doubt he has his eye on the commissioners post when the lib dems get wiped out.

No OBD Clegg is the one that the media always claims is the intellectual giant of british politics and of course having worked in brussells, his pension pot from there is huge and depends on him being pro their policies, Clegg was the one who thought his superior intellect would get the public behind his eurofederalisation plans, but in fact he has turned out to be UKIP’s best recruiter. As there is scepticism within the scientific world, and it is growing regarding man made global warming, the polar ice caps actually have increased again and there is evidence that they have changed throughout the history of the earth even before mankind appeared. To use the unproved science of man made climate change to heavily tax everyone in the bloc, on this premise is actually the major cause of the blocs ever diminishing place in global enterprise, also to the detriment of the tax payer.

the spending of money to solve climate change is complete and utter counterproductive business as usual nonsense….as it is capitalism that has caused global warming, but ukip does not want to get rid of destructive/corrupt capitalism…what we shouldn’t do is to exploit of our earths structural resources at the expense of our naturally growing resources, and therefore live off of natures income, rather than destroying it’s capital (fertility) as we are now doing…a green economic revolution is required….which of course is why ukip is denying climate change…ukip will likely support certain types of agri-science, ie genetically modified produce, and at they same time deny what they see as inconvenient science…ie climate change science….i do know that they deny climate change science…does ukip support genetically modified produce science?

I understand that all secondary schools on the Somerset Levels were shut down for 3 months this Spring on account of them being 3 feet under water due to a bad bout of climate change…. 🙂

they weren’t the coldest on record 1947/63 were much longer/harsher..MARCH (= 1 month of the winter) 2013 was the coldest since 1962, the seasons are also shifting, for later winters than is the norm…

held off by global dimming (atmospheric pollution particulates, which reflect solar energy back into space) this causes the flooding in europe and droughts in africa, global dimming complicates, carbon reduction strategies….global dimming is also something ukip suffer from…you have not even bothered to read the links i posted…climate science is highly complex, and serious personal research is advised, which you are obviously not prepared to do….i as i have said to you before do your own work, instead of merely repeating ukip mantras….

Taxing everyone huge amounts for their power is leaving a large proportion of people with the decision of eat or heat, it’s all very well for comfortably off middle class liberals to say this is fine but the people struggling to make ends meet having these pointless taxes imposed on them is the difference between living and not.

So why are the ice caps growing? There are as many climate experts saying it is a natural phenomenon as there are claiming we have to pay more tax to stop CO2 by preventing people from breathing.

So you believe that climate change is a natural phenomena then, and has varied ever since the planet first appeared in what may have been a big bang or any other manner, even before man appeared. I find the idea that man made climate change to the extent being claimed rather a pompous self important idea yes we alter little bits of very localised atmosphere, but considering how much cleaner despite the massive increase in the number of humans now alive, most nations are now, than in Victorian times for example, why are we having such an impact when the much worse emissions then did not have any effect?

NO! i did not say that…i said that the reaction to what man is doing is natural….ICE CORE samples shows roughly 12000yr ice age cycles with progressive ecological stabilization until the last 150yrs or so, where the planets ecology has become gradually more and more unstable…the evidence is clear that what man is doing is destroying OUR habitat….the planet is reacting in a natural way to this destructive force imposed upon it…we won’t kill the planet it will be the other way round…

So if you truly believe that OBD, then it is all your fault you have changed the climate of the planet, and you admit it, so you should pay the green taxes, and find a carbon neutral means of generating power which means you will have no power at all, because there aren’t any available. You will of course only be able to eat well nothing really because animals add to the co2 and eating veggies would be anti green because it requires massive amounts of land and that would mean more deforestation especially with nothing to aid plant growth. I hope you have a very big garden, for when you realise that heating and eating are actually essential to life.

Despite what some of you think, manmade global warming is far from proven. The last 17!years of zero warming show the IPCC models to be at best, incorrect. Do you really believe that our children should be taught things as facts when they are not?
Many astrophysicists,, geologists and meterologists are talking about our entry into another mini ice age, and I would suggest that it is those that believe the manmade global warming story who have not educated themselves properly about the reasons the IPCC exists, the science behind it and the absolutely laughable 97% consensus.
Google will show you just how far from proven manmade global warming is, and as such,, it should not be taught in schools as fact.
