(not satire -it’s the Tories)
UPDATE: Sickeningly, the blaming is not all in the past either. Shortly after writing this blogpost I received this tweet from a Conservative supporter:
If I had my way, former chief press secretary to Margaret Thatcher ‘Sir’ Bernard Ingham would be stripped of his title.
After all the title ‘sir’ is supposed to represent honour and respect and there’s nothing honourable or respectful about the way Ingham has over many years consistently abused the people who lost loved ones in such a tragic way in the Hillsborough disaster.
Ingham sent a letter in 1996 to a Liverpool fan whose friend had died in the disaster in which he told grieving relatives that they should “shut up” about Hillsborough:
And now yet another disgraceful letter sent by Ingham to a Liverpool fan regarding Hillsborough has come to light.
This letter was revealed by Scott Twigg – and was addressed to his stepfather’s father Mr Anthony Shillinglaw – who along with Scott’s stepfather Peter were at Hilllsborough and saw what really happened with their own eyes.
As you can see for yourself, Ingham again insults grieving Hillsborough relatives and even refers to them as ‘contemptible’:
Why is it so hard for Thatcherites like Ingham to apologise and admit they were wrong about Hillsborough?
Apologising isn’t all that hard. Just three words to begin with:
I. Was. Wrong.
Followed by the most important word of all :
Sorry.
And if Ingham doesn’t apologise, he should be stripped of his title for bringing dishonour and disrespect to it.
Or like Savile will we have to wait until he’s dead – by which time we’ll be told it’s too late to strip him of his title too?
For the real facts about the Hillsborough tragedy – have a look here:

Another (if archaic) instance of a top Tory being incapable of using appropriate language. Admittedly, this was in 1996, but Ingham has been proved well and truly wrong since then and it is time for an abject apology.
Let’s have it.

Totally disgusted with him – I lived in Liverpool at the time and my eldest son, aged 11, was hoping to go with his friend and his dad – thankfully, all the tickets had been sold.
I saw the people grieving, I saw people crying for days afterwards, I saw people angry with the “Sun” rag, and understandably so! The grief in the city clouded everything, everyone was affected as any other people from Liverpool will tell you.
This man should be stripped of everything, he is a disgrace not only to Liverpool, but to all those people who where, and still are, suffering. These people want the truth, they don’t ask for anything else.
Give me 5 mins with this supposed “Sir”…

Ingham seized the opportunity to have a go at Mersyside, a personal vendeta carried through. He should stand neutral, as all MPs should, and to ascertain the facts before speaking, but no MP can, and hence their speech is always “I think this, I think that”. So MPs know nothing, as we do, for certain, and when they thinking is wrong, because corrupt, it is back to the class room to “Learn lessons” like any school kid does.
The Sun Newspaper has also never apologised, and should never be purchased by anyone because we should stand together as human being, to human being, and defend the slurs and the vile accusations levelled at us by rich newspaper owners and rich MPs, that seeing us as but dirt under their finger nails.

People are lazy, whilst liking the sound of their own voice. If you were to say to such that their opinion does not count, and truly no opinion can count, they would be horrified, because to damn lazy to see that making comments, without facts, is wrong, and an utter waste of time. Only the facts count, have substance. Those that have opinions might as well keep their mouths shut. I always ask “What are the facts, not what is your opinion, because your opinion will change, facts do not change”.
The corrupt police force, on the day, is not uncommon. What is even worse is that many put in for compensation and received it, compensation for the harrowing sights they were faced with. Now these lying beggars going to pay back that money? No! spent on holidays, flash cars, etc.
By the way the police force began as one of the criminal elements in our society, though not quite as bad as its American counter-parts. It is often portrayed that the Peelers were kind, considerate, upholders of the law, whilst nothing could be further from the truth, with the exception of a few. We get our saying “If you want to know the time, ask a policeman”, from Peelers stealing watches from drunks that had fallen over. The stupidity of Peelers is true.

Few, if any, that have titles, live within the upper house, have any time for the common man. We remain peasants in their eyes. The upper house should be abolished, but, then, Labour put more vile people into it.

I think I’m right that non-hereditary titles like the ‘Sir’ inappropriately attached to arch-Thatcherite Bernard Ingham die with the holder (the same applies to ‘Sir’ Jimmy Saville.) For such a repulsive letter directed to a bereaved relative, he should be stripped of it now, and told the reason why.

Ingham is a prick: a contemptible one at that.Scared of what he does not understand, scared of what does not fit him tight-assed little Fascist world, what he can not control. He derides the truth and treats honest people like scum because his has only money and hollow title to fill his cold world – not honesty and openness or friendship given lovingly in a World Class city. Ingham is like the poem: a hollow man, a man of little substance.

What is new with this MP. It says something when people vote a celebrity into office rather than voting a skilled person. This is the mentality of sheep that criticize others for not voting.

The more I read and see what utter comtempt these supposedly learned and high priofile figures have it amazes me. I was watching the game when this awful disater occured. When so many innocent victims lost their lives. Then years of lies , cover ups and curroption by the police. Years upon years the victims and their families confronted brick walls. Fighting and seeking what they were entitled to, truth and justice. I totally agree Bernard Ingram shows little honour or very little respect, and I supose he dosen’t give a toss neither. Take away his title and all the others who where behind this tragic Hillsborough dister

We don’t just take their titles, we bankrupt them personally, avoiding sham arrangements made for mistresses, boyfriends etc. in the various tax havens that come under mostly British jurisdiction. A period of years in bed and breakfast accommodation will allow them time to gain perspective as they will be at the back of the queue for social housing, having made themselves intentionally homeless, the poltroons.
