(not satire – it’s the Tories!)
While Cameron is congratulating himself on the historic passing of legislation allowing same-sex marriage – it should not be forgotten that more of his fellow Tory MPs voted against marriage equality than voted for it.
134 Conservative MPs voted against gay marriage, 126 supported it and 35 Tories abstained.
Lest we forget.

Totally agree – I don’t trust the Tories neither the Lib-dems and what can I really say about Labour.

I dont think that We should be obsessed with the Gay Marriage issue…. after all, when the law enabling Civilian Partnerships was passed, that was the end of the matter, and in advance of the 2010 General Election, no Political Party stated any commitment towards Gay Marriage. Even the Liberals cannot admit having flip-flopped over the issue, with neither a commitment for nor against being in their Election Manifesto.
Of course, the precedent has been set, and in a future Parliament, any Political Party may introduce another law which negates the law giving rise to Gay Marriage.
