Tony Benn – RIP – illegally put up several plaques around the House of Commons to unrecognised heroes of democracy.
Here’s one he screwed to the door of a broom cupboard in commemoration of suffragette Emily Wilding Davison:
Here’s part of his speech from 2011 in Parliament when he finally admitted to his illegal activities:
“I have put up several plaques—quite illegally, without permission; I screwed them up myself. One was in the broom cupboard to commemorate Emily Wilding Davison, and another celebrated the people who fought for democracy and those who run the House. If one walks around this place, one sees statues of people, not one of whom believed in democracy, votes for women or anything else. We have to be sure that we are a workshop and not a museum.”

This is a little bit of political mischief with a very serious point: that parliament should serve, and commemorate democracy, and its heroes and heroines. You gotta love this act of minor subversion at the heart of Westminster from someone who was passionately dedicated to speaking truth to power. Other politicians merely talked the talk about democracy and power to the people. He really did walk the walk.

His American millionaire wife was certainly interested in personal enrichment – if I had a wife that wealthy I could easily play the pauper role and all for the journo whores and presstitutes to then con the gullible British public. LOL. You might want to check out what became of the family estate – he was a Viscount Stansgate prior to his MI5 or CIA calling. I think the estate was in rural Essex, but that needs confirming.

if you are going to pick and choose bits and pieces of doctrine to follow or be led by, then you had better understand that Mahatma Gandhi did not condone those who aggressively impose (bully) their words nor will onto other human beings….he was actually inspired by the words and writings of anarchists the shelly’s…..just as quakers take their inspirations from a multitudes of great works….and would never dream of preaching to others about what they believe in, but sincerely live by humbly seeking the truth of human being, and living in that/the truth in their day to day lives…ie only offer an opinion after being invited, as indeed you have invited a response to your rantings, i have….no human being is perfect, not being perfect is perfection, as others will see, tony benn, was a very sincere human being….he could have expressed himself in so many different ways than he actually did……

Perfection doesn’t come into it. This is about what Wedgewood-Benn was, i.e. a Bolshevik Marxist and therefore a traitor to Britain, as was Harold Wilson, the KGB agent.
All politicians are actors and Benn was a very good actor, (I’ll give him that) especially when compared to Blair who was so obvious it was cringe worthy everytime he opened his slimy lying mouth. Patricia Hewitt is another good example of poor acting and an obvious liar. Cameron’s quite good and was very good when defending his nonce buddies with the homophobia card on breakfast TV.
As for rantings they are far superior to mealy mouthed out pourings such as yours – don’t you think?

Smoke and mirrors, what smoke and mirrors? Everything I have said is very straight forward and forthright – probably something you’re not used to as you prefer to ramble on about Quakers and quite what they have to do with Wedgewood-Benn I have no idea. Unless his family were Quakers at some point.
Just get it through your head that Benn was a Bolshevik Marxist – an outright Communist and that makes him an enemy of the British people – a traitor and he should have been tried for treason.
