(satire?)

Nick Clegg has won an Oscar for his unflinching portrayal of a slave forced to work in a coalition government and suffer cruel humiliations at the hands of his besotted yet evil master in the political slavery drama “4 Years a Slave“.

British actor Clegg was one of the big stars of the Academy Awards, not only for his convincing performance as an unwilling slave, but also for his emotional acceptance speech.

In accepting the first award of the night for “4 Years a Slave“, Clegg said:

It doesn’t escape me for one moment that so much joy in my life is thanks to so much pain in someone else’s, particularly the British electorate, and so I want to salute the spirit of UK voters, and ask them to vote for me again at the next election,” a tearful Clegg told the audience.

However, critics say Clegg’s portrayal of himself as a victim of forced slavery is tired and entirely unconvincing and more deserving of a ‘Rotten Tomato’ award than an Oscar.
