A Conservative activist has tweeted that she is losing sleep after reading about the poor prospects of the Conservatives winning the next election:
The Project Blueprint referred to by Ms Hodge is former Tory Party Deputy Chairman Lord Ashcroft‘s project to help secure a Conservative majority at the next election.
Here’s Lord Ashcroft’s latest assessment of the massive mountain the Tories will have to climb if they want to win the next election (and very interesting it is too):

Incidentally, Lord Ashcroft was sidelined by Cameron as chief party election strategist in favour of Lynton Crosby – a mistake in my opinion – but as someone who really really doesn’t want to see the Tories win the next election a happy one.

That woman is such a fraud. Everything she tweets is for attention. Being a Tory has nothing to do with it. She’s just a sad pathetic attention seeker, trying to pretend to be an activist to get attention. Her opinion is worthless. She’s such a phony. Bad reflection on the Tory party. Not what they need at this time.
Conservative party needs to pull their socks up. Pay attention to what the real state of affairs in the UK is.
Lord Ashcroft’s report is very insightful. It’s a wake up call to the Conservative Party. They should be concerned and losing sleep over it. Lynton Crosby was a poor choice.

I always like the amusing ability to make an entire post/entry on a blog from one tweet. Also, I’m amused that people respect me for serving in Afghanistan but get confused when they realise I’m a conservative.

Grant, I hope it ISN’T a wake up call..I would rather the Tories walk into the next election completely oblivious to their fate and then ‘smile’ at their screams of ‘foul play’ much as they did on the foodbank debate….and then play ‘Bait a Tory for 5 years..or as Miranda’s Mum would say “Such fun” For me..The gloves are off…there is nothing offlimits to get rid of them…intellectually or Physically..if thats what it takes…Been a non violent person all my liife..but this is War..To The Death! So be it..they should never under estimate the wrath of the people they are ‘supposed’ to serve!

Losing sleep? I want them to be in such despair as the recent suicides of people losing their benefit. Then maybe they would understand at a visceral level what they have done to the vulnerable people of this country.

We are not all sad people in England, especially when you consider the north/south divide, the north may be the poorest but the south is the saddest. There are very few alternative parties that can afford to field candidates in the north of England and the independent’s who can afford to stand alone in our constituencies are usually more right than left thinking too – no win situation.

Guy – I agree almost completely with what you said. For instance, if you want nuclear disarmament, you have NOBODY to vote for in England. My only disagreement with what you said is that I don’t think it’s ENTIRELY hopeless for voters in England who consider themselves to be politically on the left… but perhaps your best option is to move to Scotland before 18th September!

Yes, in so much as there is more solidarity amongst the voting population, they by and large kept the tories out of Scotland, but it leaves them isolated in parliament.

I lose sleep every night (Carers Worker worked out that I never have more than 4 hours), mainly due to the boys but I wake every night worrying about money, and their future- from whether one will have a comp to go to, to whether UKIP will get in a demonise the disabled.
Does the woman want sympathy?

Of course I don’t think SNP supporters are unable to understand logic or reason any more than I think NE militants are foolish, especially given that the militants would no more vote for any of the mainstream parties, than Nuggy would vote SNP it seems, but such militants are from a bygone generation unfortunately.
