(satire?)
Thousands of English Defence League supporters will be forced to learn English to the standard of a nine-year –old or face losing their benefits under new plans announced by the Chancellor George Osborne in parliament today.
Mr Osborne said it was a ‘reasonable requirement’ to expect people who want to work in Britain to learn the language.
Mr Osborne said:
From now on, if claimants such as EDL members or BNP supporters don’t speak English well, they will have to attend language courses until they do.
This is a reasonable requirement – it will help them compete with the foreigners who come here to find work and speak English much better than they do.
Around a third of the £350million in savings announced by the Chancellor will be spent on English lessons for EDL members to reach Entry Level Two standard – the average language ability of a 9-year-old.

I expect to move to Malaysia/Singapore for work in the near future and although English often spoken in business over there I’m actively learning both Malay and Mandarin. I wouldn’t dream of moving to a foreign country without first having a basic command of the language.
I understand that people fleeing violence and persecution in their home countries don’t have this luxury but I hope the gov’t provide access to English language courses so that they may continue to integrate.

I wonder if this will be posted?
If it is, any responses may be interesting…

How many more jobs would there be if we simply kicked out all these foreigners?
For a start, there would need to be more staff in the Border Agency to round up and expel the foreigners, many of which are here illegally and are using fake or stolen IDs to take public sector jobs or to sponge off the welfare state.
Then there would be more jobs in the construction industry, converting all the redundant mosques and Sikh temples to a more useful purpose.
But will the Tories have the gumption to do it?

There would also be loads of jobs for Geneticists and Ethnographers, deciding who is actually “foreign”. The likes of Me, & Nigel Farage, could be out for a start.
However, if I survive the initial cull, I will take great pleasure in reconverting all those Church of England buildings back to the true Catholic faith (or Druid Temples – depending on what the ethnographers decide).
Aye Culex, you’re definitely on to something here. Hang on, “Culex”?, are you some kind of hangover from the Italian Colonial Era?

One of the things that theTowel Folder’s attack on the poor and disadvantaged will almost certainly acheive will be to encourage more unemployed young people to become EDL supporters.
This is because these ‘thick council estate dwellers’ received little or no worthwhile education in state schools because of the leftist agenda of useless Trotskyite teachers.
These same useless workshy teachers were once the type of dogma ridden lefty students who can never resist sneering at those who were not lucky enough to blag their way through life on the back of a ten a penny media studies or humanities degree like they did.

Some of the huffington post comments made me chuckle but the one who kept piping up about “your” should read “you’re”, it’s a mistake I constantly make, realising only after I have posted, an easy mistake to make, for me anyway.

If money talks as they say it does you’d have been better off hanging Peter Mandleson 🙂

I was working part time at the Grand Hotel where Mandleson was dancing a scottish reel on Burns night, it was hilarious. When he was first elected as MP he was selling kisses for £1 for charity – pass.

I’m sure they must have mentioned it now and again in passing
One of this tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber pair is reportedly a ‘dad-of-four and granddad-of-one’ so who said you can’t have it both ways?
This is the sort of thing that happens as a direct result of voter apathy, no wonder the position of elected mayor was abolished.
Hartlepool is certainly getting it’s nose rubbed into something, Labour call it diversity and think that we are somehow enriched by it.
Many will dislike UKIP policies such as they are, I’m not altogether keen on some of them myself, but you have to admit that when Labour are elected because most people don’t bother to vote because nothing ever changes, the prospect of voting for a UKIP candidate and persuading others to do the same is very tempting indeed.

I love the letters page, I cry laughing at some of them, the best laugh was when the “high tax alliance” website posted about how the council and councillors took 9months to draw up local government spending but when they came to implement it the cracks showed and they passed a vote of no confidence in their own costings lol.
